AMERICAN IDOL returns to fox with a new episode and it is Rock night!  On tonight’s show the top 7 finalists compete for America’s vote ona  Classic Rock, No Ballads-themed performance show.

On last week’s show the Top 8 performed songs of Detroit: The Music of Motor City and Smokey Robinson was the guest mentor.  At the results show at risk for elimination was Devin Velez and Lazaro Arbos.  Lazaro was safe! Devin performed “It’s Impossible” for the judges’ only save of the season.  Randy has announced that the judges would not be using their save on Devin and he was sent home!  Did you see last episode where one finalist was eliminated?  We did and we recapped it here for you!

On tonight’s show the Top 7: Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Burnell Taylor, Candice Glover, Janelle Arthur, Kree Harrison and Lazaro Arbos will return to perform for America’s votes on the Classic Rock, No Ballads-themed performance show.  The finalists are not allowed to sing any ballads, love songs, soft songs etc.

We got our hands on the set list for tonight: Solo Performances:  Amber Holcomb – “What About Love” by Heart, Angela Miller (with piano) – “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence, featuring Paul McCoy, Burnell Taylor – “You Give Love A Bad Name” by Bon Jovi, Candice Glover – “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones, Janelle Arthur – “You May Be Right” by Billy Joel, Kree Harrison – “Piece Of My Heart” by Janis Joplin and Lazaro Arbos – “We Are The Champions” by Queen.

On Thursday’s Results Show, Carrie Underwood will perform her new single, “See You Again” and Season Nine finalist Casey James will sing his song, “The Good Life.”

The show airs tonight at 8PM and goes until 10PM EST.
