Do you think Kate Gosselin will become a momager for her children? All the signs certainly point to it. There are certain parents [in my opinion, the smart ones] who absolutely do not want their children to go into show business, especially as talentless “reality TV people,” famous only for being famous, but I can guarantee Kate won’t be one of them. How can she be, when she herself famewhored her way to becoming a reality star?
To be fair, Kate’s tweet was pretty innocuous, but I’m basing this assessment on a series of tweets as opposed to just one. She tweeted, “Well, I’m officially down from 3 kids to 2 kids in braces..for now! We’re baking & preparing for our traditional braces off party today!” But that was only one of her tweets, and taken on its own, you might be wondering what the big deal is. But if you look at the pattern of her tweets, she seems to enjoy bragging about her kids accomplishments – and if some network were to offer her a deal right now, but with the addendum that it will be based on her children, she wouldn’t hesitate before saying yes.
She’s already letting them blog on her website and posting pictures of the family for everyone to see, so why would she even consider a reality show harmless? She already had her children participate in Kate Plus Eight, and if given the chance, she would do it all over again. I don’t think she fully comprehends the damaging side effects this kind of fame can have on young children, but I don’t expect much from reality stars. I suppose we should be thankful that they’re not all Kris Jenner, even though I’m sure they would love to be. One Kardashian family is quite enough to last us a lifetime.
