The Bachelor Starring Sean Lowe Sues Reality Steve – Stephen Carbone – Over Spoilers

The Bachelor is a sad-sack show. Not only do the “contestants” involved in the production want their 15 seconds of fame as quickly as possible, but the producers and editors also love – we use “love” loosely – to be eager beavers and tell us that rose ceremonies will be dramatic. Nothing about this show is ever, ever dramatic. In fact, an insulin shot is more dramatic than this show. It might be our guilty pleasure to watch, and millions of viewers gain some sense of “fairy tale” kink out of it, but it’s beyond a doubt, one of the worst reality television shows on the planet.

One of The Bachelor’s biggest enemies, Stephen Carbone – the owner of spoiler site “Reality Steve” – is once again being sued by NZK Productions and Horizon Alternative Television – the production companies of The Bachelor – for “soliciting details from cast and crew members who were contractually obligated to keep quiet.” The production companies allege that Carbone “utilized their confidential information to make a for-profit website and that he had to have obtained ‘at least some of the confidential information’” from cast and crew. NZK and Horizon signed a settlement agreement with Carbone two years ago, and now they’re suing because of an alleged breach of settlement. Carbone, however, believes otherwise. “I continue to spoil their show every season, they’re pissed about it, so this is how they respond. What’s funny in all this is, by suing me, they’re admitting that my spoilers are correct. Do you honestly think if I gave away the wrong ending, and wrong eliminations, and wrong details about the dates they would sue me? Of course not,Carbone wrote.

NZK and Horizon are suing him for $75 000 “for alleged intentional interference with contractual relations” as well as another $10 000 “per alleged violation of the settlement.” Carbone concluded, “I’m exploring all my legal options at this point, including a counterclaim. They are the big guys and I’m the little one and they are trying to squash me. I don’t see that happening since I did not violate our Agreement, nor did I intentionally interfere with any contracts, which is what their latest complaint is stating.

This will truly be The Bachelor’s most dramatic rose ceremony ever. We hope Stephen is the “winner” in the end.
