Nina Dobrev and boyfriend Mark Foster [of Foster The People] have been secretly dating for at least a few weeks [and possibly even a few months] now, but they’ve managed to keep their relationship undercover for the most part. In fact, it was CDL who first reported that Nina Dobrev had a secret boyfriend, and it was CDL who confirmed that boyfriend as Mark Foster. Now, it makes sense that Nina would try to keep her private life under wraps as much as possible, considering how many times she’s been burned by the media post Ian Somerhalder breakup. Plus, some of her fans are batshit insane [no offense to the sane fans] and think that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are meant to get back together – they believe The Vampire Diaries are real – sort of like Twihards.
The sane fans including most Vampire Diaries viewers know that’s not happening, so most of them have been extraordinarily positive about Nina’s new romance. But that being said, most of the general public still doesn’t know about Nina Dobrev’s new boyfriend, or the fact that she even has a new boyfriend. There are no pictures of them being couple-y, and honestly, there is absolutely no proof to back up the fact that this romance exists. And in Hollywood, picture [or video] proof is the holy grail with romances.
So it all comes down to – will Nina reveal the truth about her new boyfriend during the next month? Or will she continue to stay silent and avoid the media spotlight, despite the increasing focus on her love life?
Plus, holidays are a true test of romance for many couples, especially couples surviving under the harsh glare of Hollywood’s spotlight.
