General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will soon misinterpret the caring bedside manner of Dr. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) for something more and will make his life uncomfortable and possibly endangered. GH watchers know former father and handsome man of God Griffin is a genuinely good guy that goes out of his way for others.
Even though Julian Jerome (William deVry) killed Griffin’s dad Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), Griffin has shown compassion when Julian needed medical care. And since Ava is Julian’s sister, Griffin is again showing compassion to the Jerome family when they showed none to his family. Griffin is a decent guy. He always tries to have a positive effect on this around him.
So many people have been harmed in Port Charles mob wars. Duke was shot and killed as a result of Corinthos versus Jerome animosity. Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) also caught a bullet when the Jeromes and Corinthos mobs tangled. And even Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) was taken down by anti-Corinthos sentiment by Ava, mixed in with Liv Jerome’s (Tonja Walker) attempted fratricide.
If Griffin can broker peace and a spirit of forgiveness between Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava, he’ll consider it work well done. Griffin didn’t like when he caught Sonny in Ava’s ICU burn room with her chart in the mobster’s hands. Griffin threatened calling security on him and Sonny left. After that, Griffin took Ava’s hand and prayed with her, and that hand holding sparked something.
Ava is ready to give up on living and almost talked herself into giving up and going towards the light. That was why she flat lined. But General Hospital spoilers say Griffin’s kind attentiveness will play into Ava fighting for her life. To try and help her heal, Griffin will go to Sonny and confront him about his negative presence in Ava’s hospital room and tell him he needs to leave her alone to heal, no matter his issues.
Sonny has no respect for Ava, only hatred. But he does have a lot of respect for Griffin both as a person and as Duke’s only son. General Hospital buzz is that Sonny will back off. Griffin providing excellent and compassionate care will result in Ava misinterpreting signs from the sexy doc. Next week, Ava gets a first look at her horribly burned and scarred face and is horrified.
Griffin reassures her that she’s still beautiful and Ava clings to his words and this begins a feverous obsession that will grow as Ava heals. General Hospital spoilers reveal that by the time she’s back to being herself, Ava will deep in the throes of fixation on Griffin but he won’t return her affection. In fact, Griffin will be uncomfortable and edging towards afraid when Ava turns stalker and won’t leave him alone.
In psychological terms, Dr. Sigmund Freud calls a patient falling for a doctor “transference” and it seems Ava is deep into romantic feelings for Griffin that border on psychosis. When Griffin finally rejects Ava and makes it clear he sees her as only a patient, will she snap? Will Griffin’s life be in danger?
