General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is thrilled to know her best friend and confidant, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is alive, immediately jumping to his defense with everyone in his life. This week Carly will be taking it to new levels when she confronts Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) who has moved on with her life with the man she believed to be Jason, but we now know is his twin brother, Drew Cain (Billy Miller).
Carly will insist that Sam loves Jason and should return to him – but really who is Carly to push Sam, or any woman into choosing who she should be with? It is clear that Carly has guilt for mistaking Drew for Jason when he first came to town as Jake Doe and no one knew anything about him, but that doesn’t give her the right to interfere with Sam and how she feels.
General Hospital spoilers want to remind fans that Carly was in Sam’s position on more than one occasion, so her pressuring Sam to give up the life she has with Drew is making her look like a terrible friend and a hypocrite. Does anyone remember Carly working with Roy DiLucca (A. Martinez) who worked with the FBI, to get Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) into witness Protection and away from the mob life?
How about when Sonny himself promises to leave the mob, which Carly is delighted about, but when he falls back to his old ways, Carly cheats on him; the cycle is often on repeat with them, making her more of a hypocrite and less like a person you can receive sage advice from.
All Sam wants right now is for her family to be safe and away from the mob and she has that life with Drew. Drew, unlike Jason, doesn’t want to be Sonny’s enforcer, he wants to run a media empire and work along side his wife and raise their little family together. How could Carly not understand that? Before the “real” Jason showed up, Drew has proven to be an honorable and loyal man, who puts his family first. Jason will forever put Sonny first.
GH spoilers tease that it is no wonder Sam is not willing to go down that road again, not after all she has been through before she lost Jason in 2012, when he was shot by Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and believed dead). And all she has been through after that, including almost dying giving birth to her beautiful daughter, Emily Scout, because of her mob boss aunt Liv Jerome (Tonja Walker).
Carly has no right to ask anything of Sam nor question her judgement when Carly has chosen many men over Sonny on several occasions for the exact same reasons. Sam deserves some peace and happiness in her life, no? How do you feel about Carly attempting to interfere in Sam’s life and telling her who she should be with?
