General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Michael (Chad Duell) and Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) situation will continue to be complicated. It’s clear that Nelle’s pretty proud of herself at this point. She’s pregnant by someone wealthy enough to set her up for life. All Nelle has to do is have Michael’s baby and she can finally put an end to decades of financial hardship.
Of course, Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) have no intention of letting Michael be Nelle’s gravy train. They’ll urge Michael to stand his ground, but that just isn’t in his nature. General Hospital spoilers say Michael will soften over the next couple weeks. He may give Nelle what she wants, but he’ll definitely try to reach a new understanding.
Perhaps Michael will push Nelle for a deal. If she can stop all the lying and scheming, maybe Michael will think they can become decent co-parents. He just wants to bring their child into a world of peace, not constant conflict.
There’s a chance that Michael will even take Nelle back. If she can stay on the right path for more than two seconds, it’d be a step in the right direction. However, you can bet that major trouble’s brewing. General Hospital spoilers hint that Nelle could pay a steep price for the sins of the past.
GH has been trying to throw in several surprises lately. The best storylines are usually the ones that take a familiar soap trope and give it a twist. What does everyone expect to happen here? Since Maxie (Kirsten Storms) is also pregnant, most viewers assume Nelle will lose her baby and steal her new rival’s. That’s fun, but quite predictable.
General Hospital could use that idea and take it in a more interesting direction. Let’s say there are complications and Maxie’s baby is stillborn. Nathan (Ryan Paevey) has been over the moon, so Maxie wouldn’t want to devastate him. What if Maxie turned out to be the baby thief in this scenario? Maybe it’s finally Nelle’s turn to be on the other end of a scheme!
If Nelle learned the truth and accused Maxie, it’d take some major work to get anyone to believe her. Michael would just tell Nelle to shut up and get lost. “Naxie” fans would be furious by all of this, but it’d be an intriguing story. GH fans know very well from the past that Maxie can be a real schemer and is not above crossing legal lines. Maxie has broken the law numerous times in order to get what she wants!
Kirsten Storms and Ryan Paevey could do some gripping work if they’re forced to give the baby back. Then again, Nelle and Michael could let them adopt this little one. That’s especially true if Nelle secretly used a sperm donor and ends up rigging the paternity test. If Michael’s not even the father, they could redeem Nelle a bit and let her give the kid some better parents.
