Prince Charles is jealous of Carole Middleton’s open door access to their grandchildren, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. In fact, a new report states that Kate Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton are almost like part-time nannies to her two children.
Insiders say that Prince Charles has made it no secret that he’s upset that he doesn’t get to spend much time with his grandchildren behind closed doors. What’s more, Charles has barely seen the children in the last two years. In comparison, the Duke and Duchess have an open door policy with Michael and Carole Middleton so much so that they often stop by unannounced.
Plus, Prince George and Princess Charlotte also spend a lot of time with their grandparents at Bucklebury Manor. Carole and Michael often babysit them while also allowing them to run around their 18-acre property, play near their pond or collecting eggs from their chicken coop. Carole Middleton also often takes the kids to church with her.
In other words, Kate Middleton’s parents give the two young royals are given an opportunity to experience the kind of childhood they wouldn’t see at Buckingham Palace.
This is not the first time Prince Charles has made headlines for apparently feuding with Carole Middleton behind closed doors. In fact, back in 2016 it was reported that Charles was apparently trying to cut Carole Middleton’s access off from their grandchildren. He wasn’t happy with the fact that Carole was spending so much time with them.
Plus, Prince Charles wants to mentor his grandson Prince George, especially since he is the heir to the throne. That’s why he’s been urging Kate Middleton and Prince William to spend more time in Scotland. He wants to teach his grandchildren how to shoot, hunt and fish. He would rather see the Duke and Duchess spend more time vacationing with him in Scotland than spend time at home with the Middletons.
But, Carole doesn’t see it this way. She’s always been very hands-on with her own children and intends to do the same with her grandchildren as well. Just like Kate, she wants Prince George and Princess Charlotte to have a normal upbringing and is willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.
