Outlander Season 3 spoilers indicate that the upcoming season will have more romance with plenty of sizzling love scenes between Jamie and Claire. In fact, Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe say that fans are in for quite a few surprises, adding that Season 3 definitely feels different than what viewers have seen before.
According to Entertainment Tonight, both Catriona Balfe and Sam Heughan say that Jamie and Claire will definitely be getting hot and heavy, mostly because they spend so much time apart during the beginning of the season.
“I think that’s the great thing about our show is every season feels very unique and it has its own unique journey within it,” Caitriona told the site. “It’s been quite strange because Sam and I have been apart for the first bit of it.”
Sam added, “They spend so much time apart. I mean, decades apart and they’ve become different people, and they have lived other lives, so it’s been really fun. As you’ve said, it’s completely different, so it’s not like we’re doing the same show. Each season it really changes.”
There’s a good reason why Sam and Caitriona are playing up their love scenes. In order to keep fans and viewers interested in Season 3, both Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe know that they need to play up their flirty relationship for the cameras. After all, they’ve been doing it for quite a few years now. While both Sam and Caitriona refuse to confirm or deny reports that they are secretly dating, fans know something is up.
Plus, there’s also the fact that Sam Heughan’s supposed girlfriend and Caitriona Balfe’s boyfriend are no where to be seen. Earlier reports indicated that Sam was apparently dating American actress MacKenzie Mauzy. But the couple has only made one red carpet appearance together, prompting many critics to believe that their romance might be another Hollywood publicity stunt.
If that weren’t enough, Caitriona is almost never spotted or photographed with her boyfriend, Tony McGill. Sam and Caitriona either do a great job of keeping their personal life under the radar or they simply don’t want their fans to know the real truth about their relationship.
