Queen Elizabeth And Prince Charles’ Rocky Relationship Revealed In New Explosive Documentary

Queen Elizabeth wasn’t the warm and cozy mother that one would expect her to be with her children. As a matter of fact, there’s a new explosive documentary that suggest the Queen of England was anything but motherly to Prince Charles while he was growing up. That’s because she acted more like a Queen than a mother figure to her children.

According to a new report, Queen Elizabeth spent most of her life preparing a young Prince Charles for the throne. Apparently, she influenced Charles’ perception of the throne and drilled its importance to him at a very young age. That’s because the Queen Mother wanted to avoid a repeat of her son, the Duke of Windsor’s rebellion to the throne.

Speaking to the BBC, royal expert Penny Juror said that Queen Elizabeth was only doing what she thought was fair to Charles. Following her father King George VI’s unexpected death, Queen Elizabeth was given royal duties as Queen of England and Head of the Commonwealth at a very young age. Penny said, “The Queen, to be fair to her, was being Queen. For most of Charles’ childhood and the rest of his life, she was on a pedestal and he did not have a warm and cozy relationship with his mother.”

With that being said, Queen Elizabeth was focusing more on her role as the head of the monarchy rather than as a mother at home to her children. As a result, Prince Charles always had a rocky, if not somewhat distant relationship with his own mother.

That’s because he was raised by a staff of nannies while Queen Elizabeth was away during her royal engagements and public appearances. He also grew very close with his grandmother, the Queen Mother, during this time. Queen Elizabeth, meanwhile, was noticeably absent during most of his childhood.

If that weren’t enough, Charles also had a rather difficult time with his father, Prince Philip. That’s because he was trying to implement a tough demeanor into the future king. Penny Junor suggests that Prince Philip wanted a son that was a man of his own image. He wanted Charles to be just like him – a tough outdoorsy alpha male.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the report. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news and updates on Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and the rest of the royal family right here.
