The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack’s (Peter Bergman) father hunt will take some crazy turns. In the week ahead, Jack will show Lauren (Tracey E. Bergman) the photo from Dina’s (Marla Adams) safe deposit box. Phillip Chancellor (Donnelly Rhodes) wasn’t the solution to his bio dad mystery, but someone else in the picture just might be.
Lauren will note that her own father is in the photo, too. She’ll point to Neil Fenmore and leave Jack dismayed. Since he’s had sex with Lauren and Jill (Jess Walton), he certainly won’t want to find out he’s related to them. Luckily, there’s no need to fret. Neil will eventually be disproven as Jack’s biological dad. That’ll leave Jack relieved, but he’ll still have to wonder the other men in the pic.
Jack will decide he needs more eyeballs on this photograph. He’ll want to get the word out and hopefully uncover additional information. Somebody out there must know something! The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby (Melissa Ordway) will offer to pitch in. She’ll convince Jack to let her go on GC Buzz and present the picture to the audience.
It sounds like Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will interview Abby and provide a closeup of the photo. One viewer in particular will be absolutely stunned. Y&R fans can expect Victor (Eric Braeden) to be watching that day. He’ll immediately recognize a man standing near Dina in the pic and react with shock. Victor will be rocked by this revelation and all that it means.
Here’s where all this gets tricky. The Young and the Restless will suggest that Victor’s father, Albert Miller (George Kennedy), is the guy in the photograph. The key word may be “suggest.” Y&R wants fans to believe Victor and Jack are half-brothers, but that may not be the case in the end. It’s possible it’s just someone who looked like Albert. Jack’s father could even be another male from the group.
In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Mal Young was cagey about the details. The show’s head writer and executive producer wouldn’t confirm or deny Albert as Jack’s bio dad. Honestly, this whole storyline may be a bit of a wild goose chase. You’re hard-pressed to find a fan who really wants Jack to be anything other than an Abbott.
Young could easily undo the damage with some DNA test mistakes down the road. For now, Victor will find himself in a jam. Will he tell Jack what he suspects and potentially pose a risk to his own legacy? We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
