Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that some romantic shakeups are coming. As of right now, Dr. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) continues to live in a state of denial when it comes to Dr. Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). This is a man who knocked up his ex, Mimi Lockhart (Farah Fath), and slept with Sarah’s sister, Noelle Curtis. The double blow should’ve been enough to make any woman ditch Rex for good.
Nevertheless, Sarah couldn’t have Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), so she’s settling for Rex. Since Eric will remain heartbroken and hung up on Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), Sarah still doesn’t have a chance with him. Instead, she’ll pretend she’s got a spark with Rex and keep chugging along.
Even so, Days of Our Lives spoilers say a familiar bad boy will catch Sarah’s eye again this summer. She’ll try to fight it, but she’ll ultimately be powerless to do so. Sarah just won’t be able to resist her intense attraction to this hunk. Of course, we’re talking about the always charming and often sleazy Xander Cook (Paul Telfer).
DOOL’s head writer, Ron Carlivati, dished on the hot pairing in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest. “This is a couple that kind of took us by surprise when we had Sarah drunkenly sleep with Xander that very first time,” Carlivati said. “But it totally seems to work and make sense.”
Carlivati added that Rex will be a factor for a while, but Days of Our Lives spoilers say wild-card Xander will shake things up for them. He also suggested Xander and Sarah bring “the potential of a real possible lasting love story.” There seem to be plenty of people shipping “Xarah” out there – and they have some great reasons why.
Some people just aren’t fond of the Eric and Sarah pairing. They’d rather see Eric back with Nicole – the real one, not Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) in a mask. However, even those against a Sarah and Eric pairing wouldn’t wish Rex on her. There’s just no sizzle between Sarah and Rex, so Days might as well go for the heat with Xander and Sarah. Having a love interest humanizes Xander a bit more anyway.
