Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that we need to talk about Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and this mystery “baby daddy” of hers. Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) is back on canvas, so he’ll have a reunion with Allie that brings a tense vibe. Afterward, Allie will tell Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) all about meeting Tripp in London.
Tripp will eventually face questions from Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), who’ll want to know about his son’s connection to Allie. It’ll lead to Steve asking if Tripp is the father of Allie’s baby. Nevertheless, there are a few things that don’t quite add up, so let’s discuss them.
First of all, Tripp is a pretty decent guy. It’s true that Tripp’s made mistakes in the past, but he’s the son of Steve and the former stepson of Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) – two beloved people in Salem.
Tripp’s kind, clean-cut and about to become a doctor for crying out loud. If Allie was going to pick the perfect “baby daddy” to reveal to her parents, she honestly couldn’t do much better than Tripp.
So why has Allie been worried about the reaction she’ll get if the father’s revealed? Wouldn’t it be a happy one? Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) would surely prefer sweet, well-mannered Tripp over some random guy nobody knows, right?
Allie insisted she was worried about what everyone might do if she admitted the truth. Um…give Tripp a hug? Welcome him to the family? Lucas isn’t going to take Tripp out back and shoot him. Something just doesn’t feel right about Tripp being the father of this child.
Allie makes it sound like the father was someone Lucas and Sami would disapprove of – maybe even someone Allie disapproves of herself now. What if Allie hooked up with a guy who was older and edgier? As a former party girl, that’d be more Allie’s style.
There’s even a chance Allie was raped. Allie might’ve had too much to drink or been dabbling in drugs at the time. It could’ve left Allie vulnerable to someone who violated her.
What if Tripp was actually someone who intervened – albeit too late to prevent the pregnancy? Tripp might’ve found Allie in the aftermath of a nonconsensual encounter and taken care of her.
Let’s consider a couple more puzzle pieces. On October 2, Allie will realize something horrific. Could that involve the true father of Allie’s baby? Days of Our Lives put out a fall promo that featured Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly). What if Evan aka Christian is the real father?
Considering Evan killed his last “baby mama,” he’s clearly not someone Allie would want to bring home to Mom and Dad – not that she could since Evan’s in prison!
However, Allie may not realize the man she hooked up with is the same one who killed Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause) and was David Ridgeway’s (Kyler Ends) father…yet. That’s where that horrific discovery may come in.
If Evan spent a night in London and crossed paths with Allie, he could be a “baby daddy” contender. At this point, Allie may think he was just some older guy her parents wouldn’t like – or a rotten rapist she wants nothing to do with. If Allie sees a picture of Evan tied to a news story about him, things might click into place and bring that horror.
Think about the kind of mysteries Days usually does. Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) was believed to have been killed by Will Horton (Chandler Massey)…then it was Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers)…then it was Orpheus (George DelHoyo), who covered it up with Evan’s help.
The first suspect in Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) drugging was Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) – and she wasn’t the right one. The twist revealed it was Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) who drugged Abigail instead.
There’s no reason for Days to ditch the pattern of layered big reveals, so maybe the first “baby daddy” suspect won’t be right either. DOOL might be leading fans to believe it’s Tripp only to throw an Evan curveball later.
