Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, December 11, reveal that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) settled in at Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) apartment as Ava grumped about Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).
Tripp defended Kayla, and he wondered if Ava was planning to go after Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) again. Ava denied it, and then Tripp wondered if Ava had taken “blood money” from her family. Ava said that she took money from the legit side of the business.
Through their conversation, Tripp told Ava about the horrible things he did in the past to try to get back at Kayla. Ava seemed proud, which didn’t make Tripp happy.
Talk soon turned to the rape allegation against Tripp, and Tripp revealed that the DNA tests somehow showed that he shared DNA with the baby even though he never slept with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
Ava thought that perhaps Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) had a hand in switching the test results, and she went ballistic when she heard that Kayla ran the tests herself.
Tripp insisted that Kayla wouldn’t alter the test results, and Ava said that they needed to figure out an explanation asap. Ava made Tripp tell her the entire story of meeting Allie and what happened.
Tripp went through all the details, but he left out the part about everything happening in London. When he did bring that up, Ava had an immediate reaction and tried to hide it from Tripp.
Tripp didn’t seem to notice Ava’s reaction and he asked if Ava had any ideas to get him off the hook. Ava said not yet, but that she wouldn’t stop until she figured it out.
When Tripp left for Steve and Kayla’s place to pick up his stuff, Ava sighed big and then called someone. “Hey, it’s me. Call me back when you get this, and I’m not kidding around,” Ava demanded.
In the park, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) met with Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning). Charlie was acting weird, and he spilled that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) caught him hacking into his computer.
Charlie shared that Philip wanted him to be a double agent and spy on Xander. Xander decided that Charlie should be a triple agent. Charlie seemed confused, and Xander told Charlie to do exactly as he says.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Philip were working on the charity event together, and Philip asked Sarah why she was at the Salem Inn last night.
Sarah covered, saying that she was taking Xander his belongings. Sarah said that if Philip needed help getting Xander fired from Titan he should just ask.
It wasn’t long before Philip leaned in and kissed Sarah, who immediately pushed Philip back. Philip apologized, saying that he thought perhaps Sarah dumped Xander because she was attracted to him.
Sarah said that she wasn’t ready to jump into another relationship so soon, and she eventually took off for the hospital, leaving a message for Xander to meet later.
Later, Charlie walked into the mansion and told Philip that he had an update, and that he’s been digging but hasn’t found anything incriminating on Xander yet.
Philip got peeved and dismissed Charlie, then he checked his tablet and saw the news about Ava being alive. “Not the news I needed right now,” Philip said to himself.
At the police station, Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) went to see Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), who promptly told Kate that Allie stole her gun and was threatening Tripp with it.
Rafe and Kate argued about whether charges should be pressed against Allie. Kate said that Rafe shouldn’t prosecute Allie, whereas Rafe insisted that he needed to uphold the law.
Later, Allie showed up at the DiMera mansion to see Kate, who confronted Allie about stealing her gun. Kate asked why Allie didn’t come to her for help, and she eventually told Allie that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) had decided not to file charges against her.
Allie said that it was over now, but Kate suggested that Allie file a civil lawsuit against Tripp for financial support for Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox).
Allie ended up liking the idea, and while Tripp wouldn’t go to jail, he’d still pay a hefty price and people would know that he did what Allie says he did. “We just need to find the right lawyer,” Kate said.
At Statesville, Steve and Kayla told Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) that Ava was alive. Joey needed a moment to process that news. Then Steve and Kayla told Joey about the deal that Kayla made with Ava to get his sentence vacated.
Joey was angry, saying that Ava should be in prison, and that he could and would serve the rest of his sentence.
Suddenly, Rafe walked in, saying that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) called him and asked him to deliver the good news – that Joey’s sentence was officially vacated and that he was free to go.
Steve and Kayla were thrilled, and Joey came around to the idea. Rafe said that Joey could leave today, and Joey hugged Steve and Kayla.
Finally, at the Salem Inn, Sarah entered Xander’s room to find Xander upset about something. Turns out, Xander had just seen the news about Ava being alive and back in Salem.
Sarah looked at Ava’s picture on Xander’s tablet and said that was Angela Van DeKamp. “They’re the same person?” Xander blustered.
