Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, May 22, tease that Orpheus (George DelHoyo) will taunt his hostage, John Black (Drake Hogestyn). DOOL viewers know Orpheus has had a vendetta against John for decades, and now he’s got his enemy right where he wants him. Orpheus will spell out his plans to John – and they could be deadly!
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) didn’t play by Orpheus’ rules since she got help from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), Zoey Burge (Alyshia Ochse), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). Orpheus added $5 million to the ransom total and warned Marlena not to disappoint him twice or else she’ll never see John again.
Of course, Orpheus also pointed out that everything is subject to change – and that means John could still end up dead if Orpheus has his way. Orpheus is certainly the kind of guy who’d take Marlena’s money and still kill John, so that might be what he promises John on Friday.
There may also be talk about how Orpheus intends to mold David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends) into the kind of man he wants. Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) is weak in Orpheus eyes, and Zoey obviously has too much of a moral code, too.
Orpheus now feels he’s the best person to raise David, but he won’t get the chance thanks to Marlena’s takedown team! They’ll be coming for Orpheus next week.
In the meantime, Zoey will keep something under wraps. She pushed Rafe to trust her, but it turns out she’s still hiding a secret. Does Zoey plan to run off with David herself once he’s found? Could Zoey be hiding something else instead? Either way, Rafe’s trust issues are warranted and he should figure that out soon enough.
Other Days of Our Lives spoilers say Steve will fill Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) in on the captive John drama. Steve will warn that John is a dead man if they don’t do something. He’ll have a hard time believing Orpheus will do anything besides pump a bullet in John if Marlena transfers the money.
While Steve opens up to Kayla, Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will try to settle on a firm plan. Days fans know they went back and forth on Abigail’s treatment arrangement, which means she’ll have to live in Florida for a while.
Abigail doesn’t want to uproot the kids, so she pushed Chad to stay in Salem since they need their dad. Chad insisted he doesn’t want to abandon Abigail, but Days of Our Lives spoilers for next week point to Abigail bidding farewell to her family and exiting. We know Chad will remain on the show, so it sounds like they’ve still got some details to iron out.
Summer preview info reveals Chad will end up in Florida at some point, but he’ll also have some things to take care of at home. Perhaps Abigail and Chad will decide that Chad should split his time – some of it with Abby in Florida and some of it with the kids in Salem.
Regardless, Chad isn’t leaving Days of Our Lives and will play a crucial role in some upcoming drama.
