Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some great news to pass on about DOOL’s head writer, Ron Carlivati. Ron recently shared on social media that he got married! Ron married David Rogal, sharing some lovely photos from wedding and indicating that the wedding was put together rather quickly. Ron and David have been together for 16 years.
Ron even joked a bit in his post, captioning his photos by saying: “And for once, nobody stopped the wedding…#days #JustMarried #socialdistancewedding #plannedinaweek.”
Of course, Ron is referring to the fact that on DOOL, weddings are notoriously interrupted. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth) wedding was halted when Justin himself stopped the ceremony.
Well, nobody stopped Ron and David’s nuptials, and the happy couple appeared to celebrate with a small gathering in which social distancing was practiced.
Soap stars who have worked with Ron over the years – he also served as head writer for General Hospital and One Life To Live – flooded his replies with well-wishes and congratulations.
For example, Kassie DePaiva (Eve Donovan, DOOL) replied by saying: “So happy for you guys. Much love and happiness forever!” And Parry Shen (Brad Cooper, GH) said: “Congratulations! Awesome to know wonderful things are continuing to happen!
We now have the SAME anniversary!” To that, Ron replied: “Omg, I can’t believe it! I will think of you guys next year!”
Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher, Y&R) continued the well-wishes by saying: “Huge congrats to you both!” And Brandon Barash (Jake Lambert, DOOL) chimed in as well, saying: “Dude! Congrats!”
Fans responded with enthusiasm to Ron’s happy news as well, and some offered some humor about the situation. For example, one fan said: “Please tell me the cake blew up, or at the very least @KassieDePaiva popped in to push someone out a window. Also, congrats!”
And another fan said: “No bombs? No gun toting mothers looking to shoot the wedding party? No last-minute confession from would-be groom that one-eyed ex is still in love with you? No cake fight with Sami Brady? Seems pretty dull to me. But to each their own. Congratulations!”
