Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that DOOL fans are in for a great summer on the NBC soap. The new Days preview promo for the week of June 1 to June 5 gives us a good idea of the romance and intrigue that we’re in for, and it looks great. There’s a lot to tackle in this promo, so we’ll start with the four weddings that will be heavily featured in the weeks to come.
In the promo, we get a brief glimpse at Lani Price (Sal Stowers) dressed in her wedding gown and holding a gorgeous red bouquet as Abe Carver (James Reynolds) follows her through a doorway into Julie’s Place.
Lani looks beautiful, as does Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans), who is shown waking into the Kiriakis living room holding a bouquet and dressed for her wedding to Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth).
Of course, this wedding scene with Kayla appears to mean that Kayla is going to go through with her wedding to Justin…but will Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) really let that happen? As DOOL viewers know, Steve really wants Kayla back, but will he think it’s too late now? And Will Kayla really say “I do” to Justin? We’ll have to wait to see!
In the promo, we also get a glimpse of Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) nuptials, which looks like it’s a small affair in the Brady Pub.
Nicole is smiling and looking happy as she’s facing Eric mid-ceremony. Next, it will be a church wedding for Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), but the promo stops short of showing Ciara’s bridal gown, so viewers will have to wait to see Ciara’s ensemble.
However, we do get a good glimpse of those in attendance for the wedding – It appears that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will be walking Ciara down the aisle, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will be officiating and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) will be Ben’s best man.
It looks like a big crowd for the nuptials, including Ciara’s big brother Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), and Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) alongside Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash).
Claire also makes a quick appearance in the preview, as well as Shawn and Belle Black (Martha Madison), all of whom will be returning in the near future. Claire looks to be very much out of Bayview and quite possibly at a wedding reception.
Next, the promo shows Will and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) embracing and happily talking about having a new baby, so they should get that process started soon.
So far, it’s a great promo, but then something awesome happens. Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) is shown sitting in his chair in the Kiriakis mansion and he says, “Welcome home, son.” Phillip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) is shown greeting his father, as an astonished Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) looks on.
Of course, Phillip’s arrival could really shake things up on the Kiriakis scene. As DOOL viewers know, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is currently planning on tanking Titan Industries as a way to destroy Victor for his role in the baby swap.
Brady’s determined to get his revenge on both Victor and Xander, since they’re the reason that he can’t be with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Rachel Black.
Well, one wonders whether Phillip will step in and come back to work at Titan. If he does, then he may pose quite an obstacle to Brady’s plan to tear Titan apart from within. It will be interesting to see how much Philip knows or suspects about Brady’s true motives, and if he is really ok with Brady being CEO of the family company.
