Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) will be back on the Salem scene this week on the NBC soap. As viewers know, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) caught Tripp sneaking into the condo that he shares with Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).
Now Tripp’s got some explaining to do, as his dad and Kayla are going to wonder what he’s doing returning to Salem when he’s supposed to be in the midst of medical school.
Well, it looks like Tripp will soon explain that he’s back and wants to finish out his medical schooling right there in Salem. That means that Tripp is back to stay, and he’ll need to get caught up on everything that’s been going on with his old circle of friends.
Tripp will be stunned to find out what’s been going on with his old flame Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) and her new husband Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). Ciara’s missing and Ben’s a wreck, so that should be pretty shocking for Tripp.
Tripp will also get reacquainted with his other old flame Claire Brady (Isabel Durant). Days of Our Lives viewers will remember that Claire and Tripp have a pretty troubled history, since Claire got insanely jealous over Tripp’s friendship with Haley Chen (Thia Megia).
Tripp and Haley eventually got married so that Haley could remain in the country, and this was incredibly difficult for Claire to take.
Claire ended up setting a cabin on fire, then later she attacked Tripp and kidnapped Ciara, nearly setting Ciara on fire in yet another cabin. Tripp and Claire obviously didn’t last, and Tripp got out of dodge and went off to medical school as Claire was forced to go to Bayview for intensive inpatient treatment.
Well, now Tripp and Claire will come face-to-face. It looks like Tripp and Claire might meet by chance outside of the Brady Pub, and they’ll have some catching up to do.
One wonders how this reunion will go, but it appears from the newest Days of Our Lives promo that Tripp will end up apologizing to Claire for some things that he regrets. Perhaps Tripp will feel like he contributed to Claire’s mental breakdown by getting involved with Haley and shutting Claire out of his life.
It looks like Claire will offer her apologies, too, and she’ll probably let Tripp know that she’s in a much better place psychologically than she was the last time that he saw her. Since Tripp and Claire didn’t leave on good terms, this reunion will be important for them to get back on track.
Interestingly, Claire will tell Tripp that he was one of the people that she loved the most, as she moves in for a hug. Could TPTB be looking at a do-over for Claire and Tripp in the romance department?
We suspect that Claire’s parents and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will probably urge Claire to steer clear of going down old paths, and they’ll probably want her to move on from Tripp.
We’ll see what happens here, but we suspect that we’ll at least see a blossoming friendship between Claire and Tripp – and you never know, there could be something more! Would you like to see Tripp and Claire get back together?
