Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, August 25 Recap – Ben Follows Through With Ciara’s Murder – Belle Quits Sami

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 25, reveal that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) bumped into Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) at the hospital. Sami thought they should talk, since Justin was trying to help Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) “steal” her grandson.

Sami blasted Justin for taking Nicole’s side in the dispute, which led to an exchange of words. Justin thought he understood quite well why Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) ran away, which peeved Sami.

At the penthouse, Nicole tole Belle Black (Martha Madison) about Sami and John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) argument before John’s aneurysm, including the horrible things Sami had said to John.

Belle got upset, as did Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), who couldn’t fathom that Sami would have said such things. Eric initially defended Sami, but Nicole persisted, asking Belle if she really wanted to represent her sister now.

After Eric and Nicole left, Belle was at the penthouse alone when Sami returned. Belle blasted Sami for what she did to John, and she accused Sami of keeping the truth from her because of the upcoming hearing.

Sami argued that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) said that she didn’t cause John’s aneurysm, but Belle said that Sami’s words could be the last words her dad ever hears. Belle promptly quit as Sami’s lawyer, leaving her high and dry for the custody hearing.

At the courthouse, Eric and Nicole were the first to arrive for the hearing. Eric thought that Nicole’s actions were largely about beating Sami, but Nicole said that she was trying to honor Allie’s wishes.

Justin came in, and Nicole filled him in on how she just told Belle about what Sami did. Justin thought that perhaps Sami would ask for a continuance, and Eric thought that maybe Sami would just give up. But then Sami arrived to say she was going to represent herself at the hearing. Justin seemed amused by that.

At the Sleep Tight Motel, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) kissed, then Rafe apologized for taking advantage. Hope and Rafe finally got honest about their feelings for each other, and they admitted that they were afraid of messing things up between them.

However, Hope and Rafe ultimately decided that the pull between them was too strong to ignore, and they agreed to give their relationship another try.

Soon, Rafe got an alert saying that the alarm was going off at his home and he took off, leaving Hope at the motel alone. Rafe called an officer to back Hope up, and they agreed that they both couldn’t wait to get off duty.

Hope then read over Paige Larson’s (True O’Brien) obituary and remembered that Paige was found in her dorm room. Hope took off, thinking that she knew where Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) was.

At the Hernandez house, Rafe entered with his weapon drawn and quickly noticed an intruder in his house. “Freeze!” Rafe yelled. A guy in a hoodie turned around. “Dad?” Rafe said.

At the cemetery, Eve was stunned to see Paige standing before her. Eve thought that Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) must have brought Paige back to life, but then Paige said that she was just a part of Eve’s imagination and that she wasn’t real.

Paige said that she knew what Eve was planning to do, and that it was a mistake. Eve disagreed, saying that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) was a terrible human being and that he needed to pay.

Paige asked what Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) had ever done to Eve, and Eve said that Ciara married a vile, evil man. Paige argued that Ben was mentally ill back then, but Eve said it didn’t excuse him. Paige blasted her mom, saying that it would haunt her when Ben killed Ciara, but Eve said that Ben would be getting what he deserved.

Paige said that Eve knew what she was doing was wrong, but Eve insisted that she couldn’t help herself. “All I can do now is pray for your soul,” Paige said. “Bye, mom.” And with that, Paige was gone.

Eve was horrified and didn’t want her daughter to go, but Paige was gone. A short while later, Hope appeared, and Eve turned around and the women came face to face.

In Paige’s abandoned dorm room, Ciara asked Ben why he brought her here. “Because somebody told me to,” Ben said. Ciara wondered who would have told Ben this, and Ben said that Marlena had referred him to another psychiatrist who had told him what to do.

Ben and Ciara sat down on an old mattress and talked, and Ben explained that this psychiatrist said that he needed to own what he did.

Ciara thought this sounded very odd, since Ben had already owned what he did. Ciara wanted to leave, but Ben said that they couldn’t go because there was one more thing he had to do here.

Ciara insisted that they go somewhere else to talk about this, but Ben said he couldn’t leave yet, and that he didn’t want to do it, but that he didn’t have a choice. Ciara said that Ben did have a choice, and that he was scaring her.

“What is it that you have to do?” Ciara asked warily. “Better if I show you,” Ben said. Ben seemed tormented as he recounted how he killed Paige. Ciara was horrified and crying as Ben told the story.

Ciara then insisted that they leave, but Ben refused to go, lamenting that he’s a monster and that he may still be that person inside. Ciara begged for them to leave, and she opened the door, but Ben slammed it shut.

Ben then flashed back to his torture at the hands of Eve and Vincent (Michael Teh), and Ben took the necktie in his hands. “We can’t leave yet,” Ben said. Ciara asked why not, and Ben said, “I don’t want to do this to you. Ciara, just know that I don’t want to do this.”

Ciara insisted on knowing what Ben was talking about, and Ben said, “I have to do this. I don’t have a choice. I have to kill you.”

Ciara looked at the necktie in Ben’s hands and asked what Ben was talking about. “I have to kill you,” Ben said again. Ciara then seemed to realize that Ben was programmed to kill her, and she looked absolutely terrified. “I’m sorry,” Ben said, crying but seemingly determined to follow through with Ciara’s murder.
