Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Tuesday, May 19, teases that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will rely on some help from Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). DOOL fans know Hope and Steve wreaked havoc when they were transformed into “Princess Gina Von Amberg” and “Stefano DiMera.” They still feel guilty, but they weren’t in control of their horrible actions at the time.
Even so, Steve and Hope should jump at the chance to make things right. That’s especially true since John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) life is at stake! Orpheus (George DelHoyo) is holding John captive, so the threat of death is very real. This is John’s longtime enemy, so Orpheus has every reason to kill John whether Marlena wires the money or not.
Hope, Steve and Marlena will have a strategy session in Tuesday’s DOOL episode. Days spoilers state that they’ll come together and try to figure out a rescue plan. The goal here is getting John home safe and sound, but that’ll be easier said than done since they’re dealing with lethal Orpheus.
Meanwhile, Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) will pay hospitalized Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) a visit. Victor should still be pretty rattled over Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) letter, which revealed she planned to take her own life.
Although Victor sent Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) rushing to Statesville, there’ll be concerns about Xander not making it in time.
Will and Sonny will read Maggie’s farewell note before offering support to Victor. All three of them will hope for positive updates – and they’ll receive them soon enough. Xander just found Maggie unresponsive in the noose she fashioned, but he’ll get it off her neck and resuscitate her on Tuesday.
In the prison infirmary, Maggie will wake up and discover there was no need for her guilt. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander will reveal that it was all a setup. Maggie wasn’t behind the death of Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) – and she didn’t kill her own grandbaby either.
The news will be a relief on some level, but part of Maggie will doubt Xander’s story. Maggie will fear that Xander’s just placating her due to the suicide attempt, but she’ll at last want to believe it’s true. Will and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) will back Xander up at some point this week, so Maggie will be fully convinced at that point.
Speaking of Kayla, she’ll have a stunning story to share on Tuesday. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sonny and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) will hear a third version of events.
They first thought Will was driving that fateful Mother’s Day, but then it was Maggie who claimed responsibility. It’ll throw Justin and Sonny for a loop when they learn Orpheus was actually to blame.
Of course, Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) played a huge role in the drama that night. He may have helped Orpheus reluctantly, but he still helped! Evan also deceived Sonny and allowed Will to take the fall for something he didn’t do, so Sonny will seethe over the latest shockers.
Once Justin wraps his head around all this, he’ll canoodle with Kayla and be glad she’s by his side. Kayla clearly still has feelings for Steve, but she’ll continue to shove those down for now.
Across town, Zoey Burge (Alyshia Ochse) will assure Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that she’s trustworthy. She may remind Rafe that she came clean about Orpheus and Evan’s Mother’s Day fiasco.
Plus, Zoey was tied up when Rafe arrived. That’s because Zoey refused to cooperate, which meant Orpheus had to take David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends) the hard way. Zoey will think Rafe needs her assistance if he’s going to track down Orpheus and David, but Rafe will proceed with caution! This is an awfully shady family, so Rafe can’t be too careful.
