Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price (Sal Stowers) may have worked through their recent rough patch, but their problems are far from over. In fact, Lani and Eli’s mutual decision could make things even worse!
DOOL viewers know Lani helped Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) escape, which is an issue since Kristen is wanted for attempted murder. The security footage is how Lani got caught by Eli, who was upset and cold to Lani in the aftermath. However, Eli was just mad at the situation and didn’t actually want Lani to confess.
Eli already lost Lani once and has no intention of losing her again, so they’re committed to a cover-up now. Unfortunately, cover-ups tend to backfire spectacularly on soaps. They’re usually just a way of delaying the inevitable and making the consequences even worse when the truth comes out.
Eli promised to keep Lani’s secret and make sure no one else ever saw that security footage, which serves as proof of Lani’s crime. Lani could lose her job and potentially land in jail if this shocker’s ever uncovered – especially now that there’s a cover-up going on.
It’s obvious this plan is going to fail miserably, so let’s consider some clues and think about what’s to come. For starters, Lani could potentially keep Eli out of trouble if all this blows up. She could lie that Eli had no idea and claim she tried to delete the footage herself.
It seems like that video will be what leads to Lani’s exposure based on the way this story’s been set up. Eli may think it’s gone for good, but there are ways of retrieving deleted footage. Maybe Eli won’t even have a chance to delete the video before it’s out of his hands.
Whatever the case, Lani’s probably going to get busted and may choose to protect Eli. Now let’s mull over another clue. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) are set to tie the knot.
Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) are also supposed to lock in their wedding plans soon.
That’s two weddings, but we know “Cin” and “Ericole” won’t be the only couples that plan to marry in the coming weeks. Lani and Eli make sense as wedding candidates considering they’re on solid ground. Although Days could do some lovely and lavish nuptials for them again, we doubt they will.
DOOL already went all out for Eli and Lani’s first wedding, which ended with Lani being forced to dump Eli at the altar. Plus, we’ll have “Cin” and “Ericole” wedding ceremonies to watch. Days will run the risk of marriage overload if they make all of these massive multi-episode events.
What if Eli and Lani’s nuptials are a little different? It’s easy to imagine Lani getting arrested on what would’ve been her wedding day. Lani and Eli may have their joy stolen from them once again, but Eli could still marry Lani to show his faith in their future. They could have a little jailhouse wedding until Eli can figure out a way to get Lani out of this mess.
Regardless, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Lani can’t avoid exposure forever! Sooner or later, Lani’s actions are going to catch up with her – and that day just might arrive when she’s about to marry Eli.
