General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will move forward with deadly plans on new GH episodes. Although Cyrus and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) called a truce, neither one of them intends to stick to it. Sonny’s still scheming against Cyrus – and Cyrus is still scheming against Sonny. It’s just a matter of who’ll strike first once this storyline picks back up.
However, this battle is bigger than just the two main players here. It’s a Sonny vs. Cyrus war, but the people Sonny cares about are also at risk. That includes Sonny’s right-hand man Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Cyrus feels like he needs to get rid of Jason and clear the path to taking down Sonny. Since Cyrus has made his plan crystal clear, General Hospital should let him move forward with it.
Sonny’s trying to play it cool and not rush this process along. Bringing down a guy like Cyrus isn’t easy, so Sonny wants to be careful. His loved ones’ lives are at stake! Unfortunately, Sonny may wait too long to make a move. It seems likely Cyrus will strike before Sonny, which could leave Sonny fuming and ready to fight back in a big way.
Will Cyrus’ attack on Jason kick off the next phase of this battle? You can bet Sonny won’t appreciate it if Cyrus targets Jason as promised. Jason is one of Sonny’s nearest and dearest friends.
He’s considered part of the Corinthos family at this point – and he’s quite valuable to Sonny. There’ll be plenty of reasons for Sonny’s anger to explode, so this could lead to the mob war spiraling out of control.
Even if Cyrus’ attack fails, Sonny’s going to know exactly who carried it out. If there’s one thing Sonny doesn’t put up with, it’s rivals going after his friends and family members.
Cyrus may be making a huge mistake by plotting to take Jason out first. He’ll undoubtedly blow it and leave Sonny more determined than ever to make Cyrus pay with his life!
