General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) still has some big secrets – one of which Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has been trying to figure out. GH viewers know Cyrus demanded a 40-year-old case file from Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), who pointed out it was heavily redacted.
Cyrus didn’t mind and looked quite pleased to get his hands on it, so he clearly knows all about this case. This is just a matter of getting even more details and perhaps striking some fear in Laura. Cyrus probably knew the fact that he wanted this case file would get back to her eventually.
Now Laura is indeed shaking in her boots – mostly because she put all this behind her and doesn’t know why Cyrus would be bringing it up again. As Laura explained to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she was a minor when she got involved with an older man who was basically a predator.
David Hamilton used Laura to get back at her mother because she had rejected him.
Once David came clean about his motives and ripped up Laura’s letters, he laughed in her face. Laura was so livid that she shoved David as hard as she could, which resulted in him losing his balance and taking a fatal blow to the head on the hearth.
Of course, Laura got a slap on the wrist due to her age and the circumstances, so it doesn’t seem like there’s any legal angle to work here. General Hospital spoilers suggest this is ancient history and a closed case. What Laura has to worry about is why Cyrus is interested – or more specifically, who he’s connected to.
It seems likely that Cyrus has some sort of link to David Hamilton, the man Laura killed. Some GH fans think Cyrus might be David’s son or maybe a brother.
Then again, Cyrus’ weak spot – the person who was moved from the house on Wilson Avenue – might be the one with the David connection. This might involve Cyrus getting revenge on that person’s behalf.
After all, the note Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) found insisted that a plan was in play. This may tie in with the former Wilson Avenue dweller and the plan Cyrus was referring to.
Regardless, Cyrus’ interest in this case makes it clear that there’s a point to his Laura obsession. Sooner or later, Laura will find out exactly why Cyrus is plotting against her!
