General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that some twists of fate could leave Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) closer to getting what he wants. Valentin’s partnership with Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) was borderline more trouble than it was worth – or so it seemed at the time. However, Valentin may eventually be quite glad he got mixed up in Nelle’s tangled web.
Of course, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) doesn’t know all the dirty details – like Valentin making evidence against Nelle disappear and supplying her with the passports to make her getaway. Without Nelle around to blab anything, Nina may never find out about the crimes Valentin helped facilitate.
Even so, being in cahoots with Nelle kept Valentin in her orbit and seemingly gave him some respect for her. Valentin didn’t like Nelle, but the girl was a go-getter! Nelle was a kindred spirit who would do whatever it took to get what she wanted, so her overall vibe is something Valentin could relate to.
That could be important since General Hospital spoilers say Valentin will extend an offer of help on October 19. Nina’s planning a proper burial for Nelle, so Valentin may suggest he could assist Nina in some way.
Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) doesn’t see any positive qualities in Nelle at all, but Valentin can see the ones we hinted at – like Nelle’s ambition and hardworking attitude.
This could be the start of Nina drifting back in Valentin’s direction since he can understand Nelle in ways Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) can’t. Jax is the guy who stole Nelle’s kidney and thinks she was a conniving piece of garbage.
Valentin is someone who can appreciate Nelle’s good points and gave Nelle a job at Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernanded) nanny once upon a time.
While Valentin and Nina plan Nelle’s burial together, it could be an opportunity for them to bond. Nina may wonder if she’s wrong for having sympathy for Nelle after all the horrible things she did. Valentin certainly wouldn’t think so since Nina gave him love when he felt unlovable.
That’s just one more way Valentin can relate to Nelle, so he may praise Nina for seeing the best in people – even when they don’t deserve it. Although Valentin did a background check on Nelle long ago, it’s possible Valentin will offer to do a more thorough one and find out if there’s a possibility Nelle still has any family out there.
It might be a chance for Valentin to finally find out the right bio daughter for Nina through his search efforts, even if Nelle’s supposedly dead.
Whatever the case, General Hospital buzz is that GH writers are most likely laying the groundwork for Nina to dump Jax the Nelle hater, especially when she finds out he helped cover up the cliff fall with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
Nelle’s final gift to Valentin – at least until she potentially returns to shake things up – may be giving him Nina back! We’ll keep you posted as other GH news and updates emerge.
