General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the ABC soap has released its first new batch of post-shutdown info. GH is coming back with new episodes starting Monday, August 3. While we wait for that long-awaited airdate, let’s consider some intriguing new details that could point to a major romantic shakeup.
GH fans know Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) are engaged, but they’ve had to overcome some Peter August (Wes Ramsey) conflict along the way.
Nevertheless, Anna and Finn were on solid ground when General Hospital last left off. “Fanna” have agreed to get married in August, but it looks like that plan’s going to change.
Large group scenes are out due to new safety protocols, so Finn and Anna won’t be having a huge wedding with all their loved ones. For starters, Anna will rush to Peter’s defense again on Friday, August 7. Whether Anna has to defend Peter to Finn, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) or someone else, the point is Peter suspicions will indeed rev up again.
Despite Peter’s best efforts to cover his tracks, more issues are coming – and those issues could affect Anna’s relationship with Finn.
Even putting that aside, there may be another reason for Anna to worry. Could Anna have competition for Finn’s heart? Also on Friday, August 7, Finn will connect with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) over their daughters. There’s no denying that this feels sort of random and bizarre.
GH has no good reason to include a scene like this unless it serves a purpose. In this case, that purpose may be a chem test! It looks like General Hospital may indeed want to test Finn’s chemistry with Portia and see if they might have potential as a couple.
The reason for Finn and Portia’s bonding seems like a stretch since Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) is just a little kid and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) is almost an adult.
However, Portia might suggest that Trina’s always going to be her baby girl. It might be a situation where Portia warns Finn that he’ll never stop worrying about Violet, even when she’s an angry teenager.
This could be the foundation of a solid friendship or perhaps more down the road. If Finn’s relationship with Anna falls apart, maybe Portia will help mend his broken heart. Between their daughters and their jobs at GH, they have some things in common.
