General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a Flashback Friday episode offered a reminder of what could be! Back when Dominic Zamprogna was playing Dante Falconeri on GH, some fans thought Dante and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) should be paired up. In this encore show from 2018, Dante and Sam were a married couple in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) fantasy of a very different life.
On Twitter, many General Hospital fans tuned in for this flashback episode and chimed in on the sizzling chemistry. They were reminded of a missed opportunity – one that Zamprogna acknowledged on Twitter. It seems even Zamprogna would’ve been on board for exploring a Sam and Dante pairing.
“Sam and Dante would have been so hot together!” one fan insisted. “The chemistry between Kelly and Dom was amazing.” Zamprogna liked the tweet, so he saw it and gave the idea some support. It’s an interesting one to consider, especially since Sonny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are so close.
Sonny could’ve ended up caught in the middle of some tension – and you can bet there’d be some. Jason’s always going to adore Sam, so it’d be tough for him to watch Sam and Dante together. It’d be tough for Jason to see Sam with anyone really! They’re madly in love despite the obstacles that keep landing in their path.
However, GH seems keen on putting more hurdles in front of “JaSam.” A romantic rival could be another one, so it’d be interesting if General Hospital brought Dante back and put him with Sam someday. Other General Hospital fans commented on the potential thanks to all the flashback fun.
“One of my favorite #GH episodes because it not only shows how great Sonny and Olivia would be but Dante and Sam,” an enthusiastic viewer tweeted. “Love this Episode…Dante with Sam!” another GH fan said.
