General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that many fans were disappointed by Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) pregnancy realization. Maxie’s expecting Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) child, but he’s just not the kind of guy who can be a positive role model – at least not without keeping tons of secrets.
Of course, some GH viewers still think there’s hope for Peter’s redemption. That could be something General Hospital writers are shooting for down the road. However, this is the second attempt at redeeming Peter. Maxie already had to forgive Peter for concealing that he was Heinrik Faison (Anders Hove) and all the drama that came along with that.
Now Peter’s really upped the ante through the hits he’s ordered and criminals he’s associated with. The worst part is that Peter framed Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) for his crimes! Even if Peter can somehow avoid death or prison, you can bet Maxie will work to keep him as far away from his son or daughter as possible.
Naturally, that presents the possibility of another man entering Maxie’s life. There may be someone willing to step up and raise this child as well as James West (Caleb and Kyler Ends). Who’d be the perfect man to do that? Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) sounds like the ideal option!
Although Nathan is dead for now, soaps are where the impossible becomes possible. No matter how GH writers might choose to explain it, Nathan fans would love to see him on canvas again. How painful would it be for Peter to watch Nathan swoop in and steal Maxie back? It would serve Peter right after all the pain he’s inflicted.
Nathan could also raise Peter’s kid if the court denies Peter access. This could lead to some great brother battles between Nathan and Peter. It seems like Peter might more interesting if GH would just commit to him being a villain. Once Peter has nothing left to lose, he could easily embrace his dark side.
Since Dante Falconceri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) return seems to be in the works, it’d be nice to see Nathan back in Port Charles, too. It could happen since Ryan Paevey has admitted he’s open to the idea of a comeback. It’s just a matter of working out a deal, so let’s hope it all comes together eventually.
