General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, July 16 – Spencer’s Demand Brings War – Liz Faces Tough Blow – Distraught Ava Needs Franco

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, July 16, tease that an encore full of conflict’s coming up. GH will take us back to May 4, 2020, so don’t miss all the showdowns in this repeat episode. General Hospital will deliver tons of hot drama!

First, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) hits the boxing gym and runs into Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Jason and Brando discuss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) lifting the lockdown restrictions, but Brando notes that he intends to stick around.

Brando also mentions how he put his foot in his mouth when he was talking about cults with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Jason eventually finds out that Sam stopped by the garage and ripped into Brando, who suggests that he learned his lesson.

At the community center, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) helps sort through clothes for the clothing drive. Molly, Sam and Kristina are together when Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) brings more clothes to donate.

Alexis gets updates on Molly’s decision to enter a domestic partnership with Molly. When Alexis starts singing Molly’s praises, Molly gets irritated and blurts out a cheating confession.

Alexis learns the story of how Molly betrayed TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) with Brando – and then she learns her other daughters disagree. Kristina doesn’t think it’d help anything if Molly came clean, but Sam feels honesty would be in Molly’s best interest. After all, Molly just blurted out the truth to Alexis!

That leads to Kristina and Sam clashing over the risks Sam’s been taking. Kristina doesn’t think Sam should judge since she’s sneaking around with Jason while on parole.

Sam points out that she’s in this mess because she was trying to rescue Kristina from Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). When Kristina wonders if Sam blames her for everything, Sam replies with a resounding “YES!”

At Wyndemere, Ava Jerome (Maura West) gets confirmation from Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) over the phone. Ava wants to be sure everything’s on track for her portrait unveiling, so Franco assures her it is.

Next, Ava gets some big news regarding a letter from Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel). Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) shares that Spencer’s opening the door to a father-son relationship again.

Of course, there’s a catch. If Nikolas wants back in Spencer’s life, he’ll have to divorce Ava. Once Ava wraps her head around Spencer’s request, she assumes Nikolas will be wanting that divorce then! Ava expects Nikolas to move out, but he’s appalled that she expects him to honor their post-nuptial agreement.

Nevertheless, Ava wants to stick to their deal. Nikolas says nasty things about Ava’s relationship with her kids, which leaves her livid. Nik’s just as angry about Ava using Spencer like a pawn in her game.

At GH, Franco and Elizabeth Baldwin (Roger Howarth) discuss the invitation Ava sent out. Liz is bothered over the way Ava’s playing up Franco’s past, but he acknowledges that it’s not some big secret.

Since they’re coming up on the 10th anniversary of the “Francophrenia” art show, Franco fills Liz in on some offers he’s been receiving. If Franco shares his side of the story, there could be some serious money in it for them – money that could help their family.

Liz refuses to let Franco relive his dark history, but he bickers with her and doesn’t think she knows how things work in the art world. Franco contends that Liz has never been a real artist. After Franco realizes that sounded awful, he tries to backtrack. However, Liz remains aloof as they part ways.

Franco ends up at Wyndemere, where Ava breaks down as he embraces her. As for Liz, she lashes out at Nikolas before he questions her. Nik can tell something’s wrong and wants to help. At Charlie’s Pub, Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) physically attacks Julian Jerome (William deVry). Julian’s pushed up against the bar as Neil growls about Julian sinking his career.

Although Julian doesn’t care about Neil’s pain, he does care about Alexis potentially paying the price, too. Neil thinks maybe Alexis needs a clean slate away from him, but Julian argues that Neil would be a fool if he didn’t fight for Alexis.
