General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) were in a good place going into the new episode hiatus. As GH viewers know, Anna and Finn had some serious issues over Peter August (Wes Ramsey) a while back, but they managed to get back to some happy normalcy after Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was arrested for Peter’s crimes. Peter framed Liesl, and that has given Peter a bit of a reprieve for the time being.
Right now, Anna, Finn, and Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) are all in a good place, and that’s saying something given that Violet is without her mother Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) right now. Violet seems to be a very resilient little girl.
She has taken her mother’s disappearance quite well, and she bounced right back and latched onto Anna as a mother figure. Of course, Anna will never replace Hayden, but she serves as a good female role model for Violet.
Well, sooner or later, the situation with Peter is going to explode. Peter’s probably not going to be able to get away with all of his misdeeds. Liesl may be at The Hague and looking at some serious charges, but eventually someone is going to figure out that she didn’t commit Peter’s crimes.
And once Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) gets done investigating Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) supposed death, he’s going to probably go after Peter again.
Now that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is pregnant, that means that Peter’s comeuppance will probably come in the next few months. And when Peter’s crimes are exposed, there will be one person who will be in utter disbelief and quite possibly denial over the news – Anna.
Anna has been a staunch supporter of Peter’s, even to the point of obfuscating some of the evidence against him, which is something that caused much of the problems between Anna and Finn before.
We can imagine that when Finn learns about the serious allegations against Peter, he’s not going to want Violet anywhere near Anna’s son. And the problems between Finn and Anna are going to start all over again.
Of course, Finn’s first responsibility is to Violet, and his desire to protect her will come above all else, even above Anna. In fact, once Peter’s crimes come to light, we suspect that will effectively be the end of “Fanna.”
All of this is going to be pretty difficult for Violet to understand. When Finn and Anna were estranged before, Violet really wanted them back together, and when and if Finn and Anna split for good, Violet will probably be devastated. She’ll have lost her mom, then Anna from her life, and that could cause some big changes in the sweet little girl.
Might we see Violet act out a bit, or become sad and withdrawn over Finn and Anna’s breakup? The situation would certainly give Violet’s portrayer, Jophielle Love, a chance to shine. She could really play up Violet’s struggle with losing her mom and Anna, and with moving out of the security of Anna’s house.
It would be interesting to see Violet get some critical scenes where her behavior really concerns Finn, yet Finn knows he can’t make her happy and go back to Anna.
We’ll see what happens here, but Violet could be up for some big and devastating changes, all because of the havoc caused by Peter.
