The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will need someone to lean on as she deals with her looming addiction. Steffy’s going to get hooked on those pain pills she’s been taking, so she should lead to some desperate moves and erratic behavior.
Once Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) realizes Steffy needs help, you can bet he’ll provide it.
Of course, that goes for more than just helping Steffy kick her pill habit. Finn will also want to give Steffy emotional support through the crisis ahead. There’s a chance Finn will even rush to Steffy’s defense with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
After Steffy’s addiction is exposed, Liam and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) may gang up on Steffy. It’s easy to imagine Hope and Liam fighting to take Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray) away – at least until Steffy’s got herself straightened out.
However, Finn may not think it’s necessary to do something so extreme, especially if he’s there to make sure Steffy stays on a positive path. Finn knows being a mom is what matters most to Steffy, so he certainly won’t want Liam and Hope taking that away from her.
As long as Finn believes Steffy can safely keep custody and remain a devoted mother to her daughter, he may take a stand.
This would be a great way to set up a Finn and Liam rivalry. Liam’s often at his best when he’s got a good sparring partner – and he needs another one now that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) has turned his life around. Finn would be excellent as Liam’s next rival, particularly since it’d pit Steffy’s new man against her old one.
Instead of just the typical jealousy driving this war, B&B could throw in the Kelly custody drama as well as concern for Steffy’s well-being. Liam might feel like Finn’s too close to the situation; he could argue that Finn’s letting his feelings for Steffy cloud his judgment.
Finn, on the other hand, might contend that Liam’s a control freak who needs to back off. He may think Liam’s hurt Steffy enough for a lifetime, especially if Steffy’s confided things to Finn by then. The Bold and the Beautiful could deliver a great battle, so let’s hope some Finn versus Liam conflict is brewing.
