The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will soon make a big admission. As B&B viewers know, she’s been struggling with some pretty intense guilt ever since Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) caught her kissing Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) at the cliff house. That kiss was orchestrated by Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), who alerted Steffy to the exact moment when Hope would be walking onto the scene.
Steffy then kissed Liam on cue, and it had big consequences. Hope ended up breaking off her relationship with Liam after she saw the kiss, and that led Liam to return to the cliff house to live in the guest room with Steffy and Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Carlish). Steffy has tried to tell Liam about how the kiss came about on several occasions, but she’s always backed out, usually because Thomas intervened.
Well, Steffy will soon tell Liam all about how the kiss transpired. That will be a tricky conversation to have, but it seems that Steffy won’t stop there. According to B&B spoilers, she’ll also stun Hope with a heartfelt apology for kissing Liam and for how the kiss came about. It looks like all of this will be precipitated by Steffy finding out that Thomas is still manipulating and trying to get Hope. And she’ll want to make things right.
So it appears that Steffy will tell Hope all about how Thomas roped her into the kiss by appealing to her sense of family and her desire to have Liam there with her and Kelly. She’ll probably tell Hope that she now knows that she did was wrong, and that she needs to come clean because (a) it’s the right thing to do, and (b) Hope needs to know what Thomas is really capable of.
That means that Hope is soon going to learn that Thomas is still manipulating to try to be with her, and it will be interesting to see how she ends up handling Thomas after all of this. In particular, one wonders whether Thomas’ wedding to Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) will end up happening after Hope learns the truth.
But there’s another thing to consider here, and that’s the status of Hope’s relationship with Liam. Once Hope finds out that the kiss between Steffy and Liam was all a big setup, what will she do? Will she go running back to Liam and want to rekindle their relationship? We think it’s probably going to be tough for Hope to get past the kiss, even when she knows that it was all a setup.
After all, she might point out that what she saw on the cliff was Liam clearly kissing Steffy back. In other words, he responded to the kiss genuinely and passionately, and didn’t push Steffy away. She might argue that this is what’s truly important, and she might not be willing to give Liam a pass just because Steffy’s initiation of the kiss was all a big setup.
We’ll see what ends up happening when Hope learns the truth about the kiss, but we suspect that it will still be difficult for her to just explain Liam’s response to it away. She’ll probably be furious with Thomas and Steffy, while still believing that the main problem between herself and Liam is Liam’s lingering feelings for Steffy.
