The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 8, reveal that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) told Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) loved ones not to get ahead of themselves, and that the first thing was to get Thomas through his surgery.
“Help him get through this,” Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) told Finn, who promised to take care of Thomas.
Finn rushed off, and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge listened as Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) briefly recounted how she tried to get through to Thomas when he was talking to the mannequin.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) asked if anyone had called Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) yet, and Ridge said that he’d wait until Thomas was out of surgery if that was ok with Liam. Ridge said confidently that Thomas would pull through this.
Soon, Ridge stepped out and Hope left to go check on the kids, leaving Steffy and Liam alone. After asking how Steffy was doing, Liam said that there was something that she needed to know about Thomas.
Liam brought up the mannequin, and he explained that he had been wrong about what he saw between Thomas and Hope. Steffy didn’t know what Liam meant.
“You said you saw them kissing. What are you talking about – what’s going on?” Steffy asked. Liam then said that this was going to be hard to believe, but Thomas wasn’t kissing Hope…he was kissing the mannequin. Steffy looked aghast.
At the beach house, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) returned from a day at the beach all happy and full of laughter, but they quickly encountered a mopey Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer).
Quinn started in on how Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) had moved into the Forrester mansion, and Flo and Wyatt pointed out that Shauna had since moved out.
Wyatt ranted at Quinn, rehashing the whole Vegas plot to get Shauna married to Ridge, and Quinn said that Shauna was in on the whole thing, yet she got forgiven by Eric Forrester (John McCook).
After some more lamenting about what she did, Quinn said that it was time for her to return home, and that she was done waiting. “I’m going to go get my husband,” Quinn said, as she left.
Meanwhile, over at the Forrester mansion, Eric was gazing at Quinn’s portrait when Shauna arrived for a visit. Shauna said that she knew that Eric was missing Quinn like crazy, and after some talk about what Quinn had done, Shauna urged Eric to give his wife another chance.
Eric thanked Shauna for her concern, and he turned the tables by asking Shauna how her relationship with Quinn was going.
Shauna said that things between herself and Quinn were a bit rocky, and again she lobbied for Eric to forgive Quinn. Eric skirted the issue again, saying that he was concerned for Shauna and warning that Ridge would always be with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang). “You’re too good to sit around waiting for crumbs,” Eric said.
Shauna again turned the conversation back to Quinn, telling Eric that he should forgive Quinn and let her come home. “You make it sound so simple,” Eric mused. Shauna said that it was simple, but Eric said that the breach of trust was too much for him to bear, and that it was all directed at Ridge and Brooke.
Just then, Quinn quietly came through the front door and saw Shauna talking with Eric. Quinn removed her shoes and tiptoed over to where she could eavesdrop on Eric and Shauna without being seen.
Shauna said that Eric knew who Quinn was when he married her, and that Quinn calmed down that side of herself for him.
Quinn kept listening as Shauna said that Quinn would undo it all if she could. “You still love her – I can see it in your eyes,” Shauna said. “Forgive your wife and take her back – don’t throw your marriage away.”
