The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star recently faced a difficult loss. Y&R fans know Alyvia Alyn Lind as Faith Newman in Genoa City. Sadly, Lind’s grandfather passed away and left a hole in his loved ones’ hearts. It’s tough to say goodbye, but Lind offered a sweet tribute as she reflected on this loss and how much her grandpa meant to her.
“I love you forever and ever…thank you for all the amazing stories about your astonishing life and raising the best dad in the world,” Lind said on Instagram. “rest in peace grandpa xo” Lind also shared some great pics of her grandfather, Lieutenant Col. John Lind, in his younger days. She even included one of his wedding in 1960, so it’s nice that Lind and her family have these moments in photos.
Of course, it didn’t take long for Lind’s fans to leave supportive comments. Everyone wanted to make sure she felt the love! “Sad to read this, hugs to you and sorry for your family’s loss,” one fan said. Another one insisted, “I’m sure he was a wonderful grandpa!” One more fan called this a “beautiful tribute” and so many others chimed in with condolences as well.
Lind’s sisters, Emily Alyn Lind and Natalie Alyn Lind, offered Instagram tributes of their own. It’s clear that this was one very beloved grandpa, so his granddaughters will certainly cherish the time they had with him. He passed away peacefully at the age of 87 according to his obituary, which included a mention of his fragile heart and words of gratitude for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Markham-Stouffville Hospital.
Our hearts go out to Lind and her whole family as they cope with this crushing blow. The Young and the Restless fans always care about the show’s wonderful cast and want to lift them up when things get rough!
