The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Friday, February 21, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will revel in their newfound engagement near the bar, while across the room Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be greeted by Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), whom Victor will compliment for keeping him healthy and safe.
By the elevators, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will be stunned to see Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes), who will immediately flee, while in the art installation area, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will try to help Victoria, who falls to the ground after her stabbing.
Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will rush in, as will Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King). Billy will be completely stunned.
Nate and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will rush in and tend to Victoria’s wound, while Paul interrogates Billy. Victor, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will come in and gasp at the sight of Victoria on the ground.
Victor will rage at Billy, saying he did this, while Amanda comes in and surveys the scene. She’ll say that it wasn’t Billy, and that Ripley did this thinking it was her.
As Victoria is wheeled into the hospital, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will comfort Amanda, who will be seriously shaken at what Ripley did. Meanwhile, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Paul will question Billy, who will quickly take off for the hospital.
Rey will then question Amanda, who will be feeling guilty about Ripley’s actions. She’ll say that she didn’t know he was capable of something like this. Rey will assure her that Ripley will be caught.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Victor, Nikki, Nick, and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will wait, soon to be joined by Adam and Chelsea. Eventually, Nate will come in and say that Victoria had severe damage her liver and lung, and that she requires surgery. Paul will show up, and Victor will blame “Billy Boy Abbott,” who will soon arrive to a chilly reception.
Victor will yell at Victor, and Billy will learn that Victoria is in critical condition. Billy will get angry, and he and Victor will nearly come to blows, but Chelsea will walk Billy out and tell him what’s going on with Victoria.
At the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will walk Amanda to her suite, and she’ll make sure that Amanda is safe. Amanda won’t want her to go, but Phyllis will say that she wants to go to the hospital to check on Victoria. “And Nick,” Amanda will say. Amanda will be in shock over Ripley having tried to kill her.
Amanda will say that she trusted Ripley and thought he was doing the right thing. Phyllis will hug her and tell her that it was not her fault. Amanda will start crying after Phyllis leaves. Soon, Billy and Chelsea will arrive back at the hotel. She’ll tell him that she’ll keep in him the loop, and that he shouldn’t do anything crazy.
Soon, Billy will knock on Amanda’s door. He’ll tell her through the door that he wants to make sure that she’s ok. Amanda will open the door solemnly. She’ll say that she feels responsible, and the two will argue about who’s to blame. They’ll agree that none of this is fair – Victoria has nothing to do with this.
Back at the hospital, Phyllis will walk in the waiting area, much to Nikki and Abby’s chagrin. She’ll sit down next to Nick for moral support. Adam will talk with Victor, saying he wished he knew what to say. Victor will say that they’re all where they belong, and that family is what matters. Adam will say that he knows that now, but he finally understands.
Finally, after much waiting, Nate and Elena will return to the waiting area and let the family know that Victoria made it through surgery, and that they were going to monitor her carefully. She’ll be in a medically induced coma for a while, and for now they’ll wait and hope for the best.
