The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will have to recover from the horror that unfolded at the gala. Things took a dark turn after Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes) mistook Victoria for Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). Victoria was brutally stabbed, so that led to some shocking scenes and set up Victoria’s surgery along with a medically induced coma.
Since Y&R’s gotten pretty heavy lately, Heinle decided to lighten things up with some fun social media content. On Twitter, Heinle shared a pic of herself on the day the stabbing was filmed. “Meal break!!” Heinle tweeted as the caption.
Heinle was just chilling at the bar with some food and a drink in her hand. She was still wearing her “bloody” white gown as a couple other people gawked at her.
Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) saw Heinle’s updates and decided to add some humor of her own. “It’s good see ur still getting out, being stabbed didn’t hurt your appetite,” Case replied.
Sharon included the rolling on the floor laughing emoji, so it’s great to see these costars joking around. The show may head into a dark area from time to time, but it’s clear that the cast adds some levity behind the scenes.
Many Young and the Restless viewers also found themselves laughing over Heinle’s tweet and included some funny comments. “Dr. Nate prescribed that glass of wine,” one fan said.
Another Y&R viewer tweeted, “It’s a NEWMAN MIRACLE!!” Of course, there were lots of emoji and response GIFs, too. It was a nice way to take a break from the gloominess that’s unfolding in Genoa City.
The Newman family may be in crisis mode right now, but there’s some positive news in all this. Many Young and the Restless fans have been complaining about the lack of drama lately – and this certainly provided some!
Soaps need to raise the stakes and do something big like this sometimes, especially when a special event’s going on like the Newman gala.
