The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the next two weeks tease that we’ll see some bitter battles and quests for answers. During the week of August 17-21, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will try to explain his perspective to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Chelsea will be offended over Adam turning to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) for help over his fiancée.
However, Adam will feel like Sharon’s training can help him – and their bond is always going to matter to him, too. After Chelsea argues with Adam, she’ll turn to Sharon for her own explanation. Chelsea may wonder why Sharon’s so eager to help her ex, so there’s even more clashing ahead.
Meanwhile, Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) alliance with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will make waves. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will also support Victoria, who’ll hold a press conference and leave the Newman family wondering what’s up.
Victoria will plan on going public with Adam’s boy killer secret eventually, but she’ll mostly just enjoy watching Adam squirm for now. Before Victoria’s press conference, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will remind her daughter that there’s a lot at stake – and not just for Adam.
Exposing the truth about Adam killing AJ Montalvo would bring legal troubles for Victor, who covered everything up. There’s also the matter of the scandal and how it’d affect Newman Enterprises. Victoria will enjoy having some power and feeling like her whole family’s waiting to see what she’ll do next.
Although Victoria may not make Adam’s secret public knowledge just yet, she’ll definitely create some buzz with her big announcement. Victoria’s partnership with Jack and other major changes at Newman won’t go over well with Victor.
This will create a Newman vs. Newman war – and Victor will demand that someone pick a side. That someone might be Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who might end up siding with his sister on this. Nick doesn’t like how Victoria was treated and wishes Victor would just cut Adam out of their lives for good.
Of course, Nikki is someone else who might have to pick a side here. That’d be trickier for her since she’s loyal to Victor, but she also knows Victoria’s been collateral damage in all of this. Nikki will get an interesting offer in the week ahead as well, so fans will be curious to see what that is.
Back with Nick, he’ll have a warning to deliver – and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be on the receiving end of it. Nick has had his fair share of issues with Kyle, who previously divorced Summer Newman (Hunter King) so he could reunite with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).
Now that Kyle has divorced Lola to get back together with Summer, Nick will have a reminder for the waffler.
If Kyle ends up hurting Summer, there’ll be a steep price to pay! Nick may be especially concerned since Summer works at Jabot and Victoria’s partnering up with Jack. That could leave Summer in the middle of some Newman and Abbott drama, so it’s important for her to have Kyle’s support.
As for Lola, she’ll find herself feeling quite charmed by Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). After Theo makes peace with Kyle, he’ll flirt with Lola and pull her closer. Lola will decide to confide in Theo, so he’ll appreciate that the walls are starting to come down.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will battle doubts over Adam’s motives. Adam’s growing connection to Sharon will certainly leave Rey with concerns.
Meanwhile, Jack and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will do some digging in hopes of giving Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) a final gift. Dina’s recent clue about the Bixby home movies got Traci and Jack off to a nice start.
Traci guessed that maybe Dina wanted to go back to where it all began for her, so Jack will help Traci as they try to make that happen for their mother. Y&R fans will see some blast-from-the-past scenes featuring younger Dina (Cathy Marks) along with a younger John Abbott (Jonathan Stoddard).
These flashbacks should offer a revealing look at Dina’s early love story with John.
Traci and Jack will also reflect on some key moments in their childhood, so it’ll be interesting to see where all of this is heading. Elsewhere, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will want to see what Phyllis’ new venture is all about. If there’s a way to sabotage it, Abby will certainly want to try.
However, Phyllis will have something to celebrate during the week of August 24-28. It sounds like Phyllis’ venture will be a success at first, so Abby will either fail or could perhaps just wait on the perfect moment to strike. Abby might prefer to let Phyllis have her victory before she plots her downfall!
Back with Chelsea, she’ll have a heated showdown with Sharon. Adam will naturally be at the center of the conflict, so things could get nasty. As for Victor, he’ll realize he has to do something drastic to help his son. Victor will cross a line that shouldn’t be crossed – and that could lead to major trouble.
Finally, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will listen as Devon Hamlton (Bryton James) opens up. Devon will talk to Amanda about his history with Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan), who looked exactly like Amanda.
Since Amanda will likely be revealed as Hilary’s twin sister down the road, it’s good that Y&R will start laying more groundwork for that.
