The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) divorced in the past and then remarried. Pristine’s second edition began in 2013 and continues through today. Whether they’ll remain married is the question.
Y&R fans are enjoying a theme week’s worth of episodes featuring the relationship of Davidson and Bell’s characters. As longtime viewers are being reminded of and newer viewers are learning, Paul and Christine have endured much drama through the years and eventually found their way back to each other, where they’ve stayed through 2020.
Drama is the hallmark of daytime. Viewers know that Pristine has been stable for a long time and that in recent years both actors have gone to recurring status, which has made a long-form storyline involving these characters impractical. But Y&R can create an arc where Paul and Christine take center stage again.

Beyond the noticeable visual appearances, which include hair styles and fashion choices, it’s great to look back at the work of these two longtime actors. Classic episodes are more than memory refreshers, or backstory sources. The repeats allow fans to see the development of each actor’s talent and both on-screen partner’s collaborative work.
Paul isn’t Christine’s only love. Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) was Cricket’s seeming soul mate in the 1980’s. But Christine was involved with Phillip Chancellor III (Thom Bierdz) during that decade as well. However, Christine’s only child came with Paul, though their daughter was never born due to a miscarriage.
Paul’s love stories began with his involvement with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and April Stevens (as originally played by Janet Wood) in the early 1980’s. April and Paul had a daughter, Heather Stevens (as last played by Jennifer Landon). Paul also married Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) in the mid 1980’s.

Various actors became famous after appearing on Y&R. Two, who were connected to Bell and Davidson, are John O’Hurley (Jim Grainger) and Eva Longoria (Isabella Brana Williams).
O’Hurley played Christine’s father. Viewers likely know that O’Hurley became famous in the 1990’s for his portrayal of J. Peterman on Seinfeld and that he’s hosted the National Dog Show, that’s seen on Thanksgiving, for many years.
Longoria played Paul’s wife and eventually Christine’s attempted murderer. Longoria went on to gain fame on Desperate Housewives, where she portrayed Gabrielle Solis Lang.

Y&R’s hand could be tipped if Danny were to come back to Genoa City, Wisconsin. Damian was last seen in 2013. So, it would be easy to reignite this one-time super couple if he returns to the cast.
As for Paul, a revival of interest with Lauren, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), or Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) provides three plausible sources of renewed romance.
Relationship trouble for Pristine could be resolved over time. A shorter storyline could involve a permanent break that results after one person, the other, or both go astray.
