The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Monday, November 30. tease that Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) will meet with Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston) at Crimson Lights after getting into town.
Chance and Nina will catch up, then Chance will ask Nina to be his “best mom” since he doesn’t have anyone to stand up for him at the wedding. Nina will happily agree, and Chance will gush about his great fortune in having Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).
Meanwhile, over at the beautifully decorated Chancellor mansion, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will arrive and bark orders at Esther Valentine (Kate Linder). Esther will grumble and walk off, and as Jill is talking to Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) portrait, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will walk in, noting that today is a special day since the three families are coming together.
At the Grand Phoenix, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will arrive to see Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) in the lobby, noting that she’s not dressed for the wedding. Phyllis will avoid the issue, saying that she thought they decided that she wasn’t going to the wedding.
Phyllis will then get a call about an emergency on the third floor, and she’ll rush off to take care of it.
Up in Abby’s suite, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will be alarmed to find that Abby has locked herself in the bathroom and won’t come out. Abby will be crying, saying that the wedding’s off and that she can’t do this to Chance.
Abby will flash back to three of her serious relationships that ended badly, and she’ll say that the common denominator was her. Mariah will try to talk some sense into Abby, then she’ll text Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) for help.
Back down in the lobby, Phyllis will come back to Nick after her emergency is resolved, and she and Nick will see Ashley rush through the lobby and onto the elevator.
Phyllis will note that Ashley blew her off, and that she probably doesn’t want her anywhere near the wedding. Nick will insist that he wants Phyllis to go to the wedding with him. Phyllis will ultimately refuse.
Back up in Abby’s suite, Ashley will talk through the bathroom door with Abby, and Abby will say that she has “scientific evidence” that she shouldn’t be getting married – a long line of broken relationships. Ashley will give Abby a little pep talk, but Abby won’t budge.
Over at Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be finishing breakfast when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) walks in.
Victoria will say that they should put aside their differences today for Abby’s sake. Victor will agree, but then he’ll mention Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and Victoria will walk off in short order.
Back at the Chancellor mansion, Nina and Chance will arrive, and Chance will quickly get an SOS text about Abby’s meltdown. Chance will make an excuse and rush out.
Jill and Jack will reminisce about how the Chancellor mansion used to be THE place to have a party, and they’ll flash back to a party where Katherine and Jill snarked at each other as only they could do.
Soon, Nikki ad Victor will arrive, and everyone will note that this is a great day for the Abbotts, Newmans, and Chancellors. Victoria will walk in and ask about Abby, and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will enter and say that the bride isn’t there yet.
Meanwhile, in Abby’s suite at the Grand Phoenix, Ashley will still be trying to get Abby to reconsider, when Chance comes in and takes over. Mariah and Ashley will leave the room.
Chance will listen to Abby go on about how she’s a mess, and he’ll interrupt her, saying that he loves the mess that she is. Chance will tell Abby through the door that he was afraid this morning that Abby was too good for him, and Abby will insist that SHE’S the one who doesn’t deserve HIM.
Over at the Chancellor mansion, Ashley will arrive to say that the bride will be there shortly. Victor and Ashley will have a nice moment together talking about Abby, and they’ll flash back to their romance in years past. Both Ashley and Victor will be glad they ended up as friends.
Ashley will then head up to a bedroom, where Traci will note that there’s someone else who would have loved to have been there today – Brad Carlton (Don Diamont). Ashley will flash back to deciding with Brad what to name Abby right after she was born, then she’ll say that Brad loved Ashley so much.
Down in the living room, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will arrive, and after a little talk about Katherine with Victor, he’ll get a call from Mariah to stall the ceremony for a few minutes due to Abby’s meltdown.
Finally, back in Abby’s suite, Chance will go on about how lucky he is to have met her, and how he finally knows how it feels to love someone. Abby will open the bathroom door and come out in her robe, looking at Chance.
