The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could be in for a rude awakening after a steamy night with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Y&R fans can expect things to heat up between Lily and Billy during the week of November 30-December 4, so let’s talk about the drama that could play out afterward.
After Lily suggests Billy could come up to her suite, he’ll realize she wants to take their relationship to the next level. Billy and Lily will indeed sleep together, but what happens next? Y&R Head Writer and Co-Executive Producer Josh Griffith offered a couple hints in a recent issue of SOD.
“Billy and Lily will have different takeaways after their night together,” Griffith said. “However, their next chapter will hit the brakes when Billy’s rivalry against Adam comes back to haunt him.” We should unpack this a bit since there could be some hints under the surface.
Since Lily and Billy are going to have different takeaways, what does that really mean? It’s possible one of them will fall harder than the other after they do the deed. It could make Billy want to rush this romance along while Lily’s still holding back.
Nevertheless, Lily and Billy are clearly quite into each other. It’s tough to imagine Lily pulling back too much when she’s the one who’ll propose sleeping together. Plus, Griffith pointed out there’d be a next chapter that hits the brakes, which indicates Billy and Lily will still plan on a next chapter after lovemaking.
In other words, it sounds like this bedroom session will go well. Perhaps we should consider an alternative meaning for this “different takeaways” idea.
What if Griffith was cleverly hinting at a physical takeaway – as in Billy is physically taken away in handcuffs? Could Billy be arrested right after making love to Lily?
After all, Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston) pointed out that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) had enough to haul Billy in for the shooting. People have been arrested with far less evidence in Genoa City!
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest even more proof will surface against Billy, though this is obviously a setup. It makes sense that Rey will have no choice but to go along with this proof mountain.
Rey wants to be certain he has the right culprit before he locks anyone up, but come on. How many times has Rey arrested the wrong culprit? Rey isn’t a very good detective, no matter how hard Y&R tries to pretend he is. We learned that during the JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbell) case.
It seems likely things will get worse for Billy before they get better, so his arrest will probably be part of this story. If it happens while Billy’s still riding high off his steamy session with Lily, that’d be pretty soapy. Billy may be in bed basking in the afterglow when the cops come knocking.
That would certainly bring Lily and Billy’s next chapter to a screeching halt! We’ll provide updates as other news rolls in. The Young and the Restless spoilers say the shooter investigation will bring more snags for Billy, so stay tuned.
