The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will once again have to prove she’s a fighter on new episodes starting Monday, August 10. Sharon was understandably rattled when she found out she had breast cancer, but she’s tackled this challenge as best as she can.
Although Sharon values her independence, she’s learned to accept support from “Team Sharon” when she needs it.
Sharon will need more support than ever once Y&R picks up where they left off. This gripping storyline will continue – and they won’t sugarcoat Sharon’s battle.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will face some rough moments following her surgery. As Sharon deals with the aftermath and worries about the future, she’ll break down in tears and accept help from her loved ones.
You can bet Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will remain committed to getting Sharon on the other side of all this. The same goes for Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
All of these characters will remain devoted to helping Sharon in one way or another.

Head Writer and Co-Executive Producer Josh Griffith previewed the next chapter of Sharon’s story. It definitely won’t be an easy one, but this is all building to a brighter future for Sharon down the road.
Griffith previously indicated that this story would run through October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Did that plan change due to the shutdown?
Here’s what Griffith had to say. “Sharon will face a major setback, but will never lose her strength to fight this cancer with all she has,” Griffith said. “October will still see her reach a milestone in the story.”
In other words, Sharon’s storyline may not be over at that point, but it certainly sounds like it’ll have reached a place of positivity by then. The Young and the Restless has always been clear about the goal of this story, which is promoting early detection.
Because Sharon found that lump early, she’ll be able to beat cancer and move on as a survivor.
