General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is facing a potentially deadly illness, but she’ll be facing another threatening obstacle if she lives to date Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)!
GH fans recently saw some fun Valentine’s Day scenes between Britt and Jason – including an adorable moment when a tiny hospital patient called them “Mr. and Mrs. Cupid.”
It’s clear that General Hospital writers are setting Jason and Britt up as a new pairing. Britt will hopefully conquer her health crisis and be the one to help Jason move on from Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
Since Sam and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) are growing closer, it’s only fair for Jason to have a new lady in his life as well.
Of course, there’s someone who probably won’t be happy about Jason’s new love interest. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is incredibly protective of Jason and surely won’t think Britt’s good enough for her bestie.
As Jason and Britt grow closer, it probably won’t be long until Carly takes notice. Once that happens, Carly may offer a warning to Jason, Britt or both! Since Jason and Britt’s romance seems poised to happen whether Carly likes it or not, this could kick off another war in Port Charles.
It’s just tough to imagine Carly sitting back and letting Jason fall for Britt without stirring up trouble. Naturally, Britt isn’t the kind of gal who’s going to take orders from Carly or let her dictate who Jason can or can’t date. If anyone can hold her own against Carly, it’s “The Britch.”
This could lead to a great Britt and Carly battle with Jason stuck in the middle. Jason may have no choice but to tell Carly that she has to butt out. Sam is moving on with her life and trying to figure out who the new Sam McCall is.
This is Jason’s chance to start a new chapter of his own – one where Britt is his leading lady.
