Even so, there’s no denying that Jason was torn over Sonny’s return. Jason was certainly glad to see Sonny alive and back in Port Charles, but he was visibly disappointed over having to give up Carly.
Carly and Jason fell in love, so they’ll struggle to move past how they felt about each other.
Jason and Carly may not cross any lines, but their feelings will be buried under the surface. Likewise, Sonny may bury his lingering feelings for Nina – even if he doesn’t want to admit that’s what he’s doing.
While Sonny was in Nixon Falls, he kept dreaming of the mystery blonde from his former life.
Sonny ultimately realized it was Carly who’d been trying to guide him home. Now that Sonny has his memories back and has reclaimed his rightful spot as Sonny Corinthos, what’s next?
It’d be interesting to see GH keep this dream theme going with a twist.
After all, dreams are commonly used on the ABC soap – especially when a character’s bothered by something.
When Carly was feeling haunted by Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), she suffered from nightmares that included her old foe.
Now Sonny may be haunted by the simple and charming love story he had with Nina.
The show could absolve Sonny of guilt by having his desires come in dream form.
It’d be something beyond Sonny’s control, but it’d make sense if Sonny traded women in his dreams.
Sonny has reunited with Carly, but shaking off Nina won’t be easy – particularly not if his dreams remain a factor for him.
Perhaps Sonny will surprise even himself by drifting off to Nina dreamland and having to keep that news a secret from Carly.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will work on his fresh start in Port Charles, but Nina and Nixon Falls are part of him now.
Sonny can’t just pretend nothing happened – and his dreams could prove he’s burying things just like Carly and Jason.
