General Hospital Spoilers Update: Monday, April 5 – Sasha’s Disaster – Ava’s Spencer Snag – Brook Lynn’s Matchmaking

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, April 5, teases that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will be offended when Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) doesn’t seem all that enthusiastic about their wedding plans.

Ava will point out that they’re supposed to be planning a vow renewal ceremony, but she won’t think Nikolas’ heart seems to be in this anymore.

Nikolas will apologize for giving Ava the impression it wasn’t important to him. He’ll assure Ava that he indeed wants to marry her again, but he’ll fret over Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicolas Bechtel) not taking his calls.

Nikolas will admit he won’t feel right if his son isn’t by his side at the ceremony, but Ava will feel confident Spencer will come around in time.

Ava will argue that Spencer will eventually see that there’s nothing more important than family – and that’s when Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will walk in. Martin will note that he couldn’t agree more!

It seems Martin will be eager to connect with Nikolas and perhaps use him to smooth things over with Nikolas’ mom, Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

Martin and Laura were getting along splendidly until Cyrus tried to show a darker side of his brother. It worked since Laura was indeed unsettled over the revelation that Martin helped Julian Jerome (William deVry) escape.

Now Laura has taken a step back and even rescinded her offer to let Martin celebrate Easter with the family. Martin might go to Nikolas and wonder if he can put in a good word for him with Laura.

Of course, Nikolas may wonder why he should trust Martin or care whether he feels accepted.

Martin’s connection to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will leave Nikolas troubled, so Martin will get the feeling that his visit to the gallery isn’t a welcome one. Even so, Martin will speak to Nikolas and see what he can accomplish.

Cyrus has a bad habit of popping up almost everywhere his brother does, so he may stop by the gallery next.

Regardless, Cyrus and Nikolas indeed have a confrontation coming up. In the meantime, Cyrus will propose a deal to Laura: peace in exchange for an opportunity to bond as brother and sister.

Cyrus will be willing to dial down his antics in Port Charles and all he’ll ask for in return is the pleasure of Laura’s company. Some chances to sit and talk over coffee should suit Cyrus just fine.

However, Laura won’t want to open the door to more trouble in her life, so she’ll reject Cyrus’ offer and send him on his way.

Later, Laura will explain the situation to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), including the part where Cyrus ratted Martin out for his Julian help. It really rattled Laura, so Kevin will get why she’d be disappointed.

As for Cyrus, Laura will start to embrace the idea of doing a little sibling bonding. It’d be a small price to pay if Cyrus would actually learn to behave a bit better. Besides, there’s that old rule about keeping your friends close and your enemies closer!

Laura would be better off letting Cyrus think he has a chance of being a real brother to her. The closer Laura is to Cyrus, the more she’ll know and can intervene when things are about to go awry.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will put her own pregnancy plot and ELQ scheming on hold.

There’ll be another plan Brook Lynn wants to focus on – and it’ll involve reuniting Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).

Brook Lynn will think Olivia and Ned need to get over their lingering issues on Monday. They’ll be acting stubborn in Brook Lynn’s eyes, so she’ll get pushy and try to pull Olivia back in Ned’s direction.

Ned and Olivia had a heart-to-heart not too long ago about the changes that’d gone down since their marriage. If Olivia and Ned can learn to love each other for who they are right now, maybe they could find happiness again.

Whatever the case, Brook Lynn will feel like she can be Ms. Fix-It on Monday, so we’ll see if she makes any progress.

Next, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will track Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) down and urge him to tackle the next phase.

Valentin was roped into helping Carly and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), he’s been working hard to charm Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs).

Carly will feel like Valentin needs to pick up the pace now that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is stuck at Pentonville. The judge denied bail, so Jason will have to remain in custody until the trial – that is unless something changes.

Carly will think Valentin needs to arrange another “chance encounter” immediately and take another step toward earning Gladys’ trust. Carly will just want to get this whole project done and hopefully clear Jason’s name soon enough.

Valentin may argue that Gladys will get suspicious if they work too fast or make it seem like he’s hovering. He might want to wait, but it doesn’t matter what Valentin wants since this is Carly we’re talking about. What Carly wants, Carly gets!

As for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), he’ll be grateful for all Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) support recently. Chase will want to figure out a path forward, so it appears he’ll be talking about the work he intends to put into repairing his family.

It’s not Chase’s fault that things are so messed up, but he’ll feel responsible for putting in the effort and trying to put it all back together – at least as much as possible. Willow should be proud of Chase, so this could bring another moment of connection between them.

Nevertheless, Willow will reconnect with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) in the week ahead as well. It sounds like Willow’s feelings will remain complicated, so her future with Chase is far from certain.

Over with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), he’ll decide to get honest with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). GH fans know Brando didn’t really turn against the Corinthos clan to work for Cyrus.

The truth is Brando’s been working for the Corinthos family the entire time, so he should come clean about that on Monday, April 5.

Brando will help Sasha understand, but she may grow increasingly concerned about the risks he’s taking every day.

The stakes are even higher now that Gladys is tangled up in this mess, so Brando will have to be careful.

Sasha will strengthen her bond with Brando before she dashes off to see Michael. General Hospital spoilers say Sasha will walk in on Michael and Willow nearly kissing this Tuesday, April 6.

That could mean Monday’s cliffhanger will set it up, but we’ll just have to see how it goes!

Either way, Sasha will soon realize she’s always going to be a second choice when it comes to Michael – and that’s not going to work for her. General Hospital spoilers say some surprising scenes are in store, so keep watching!
