In Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) bedroom, Justin insisted that Carter and Quinn had been caught. He made it clear that Eric Forrester (John McCook) was going to find out what he walked in on and eventually admitted Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) put him up to this.
Quinn stammered about how Eric already knew and gave them permission, but Justin didn’t buy it. However, Quinn shared the ED drama and how Eric didn’t want her to give up her intimate life. She explained how they fought Eric’s plan to keep her fulfilled, but Eric pushed hard and felt it was the only way to save his relationship with Quinn.
Carter corroborated Quinn’s story before she begged Justin to keep his mouth shut. Quinn warned that Eric was a private person and would end up humiliated, so she pushed Justin not to tell Ridge. She maintained that Justin should do the right thing and keep Eric’s secret.
Meanwhile, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) was taken aback to learn Ridge sent Justin to spy on Quinn. Katie still thought Eric’s fear of loneliness was behind his reunion with Quinn and his recent behavior.
Ridge felt like Quinn was exploiting the situation, but Katie didn’t think Quinn would be dumb enough to betray her husband again. Even so, Ridge hinted that Quinn liked living on the edge. Katie later found herself wondering if Justin had been able to find anything interesting.
Next, Steffy pushed Sheila to leave immediately. Sheila wondered what Steffy would do if she didn’t, but Steffy pointed out that Sheila was disrespecting John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) wishes by not staying away.
After Sheila suggested she wanted to speak with Steffy from one mother to another, she hoped for a visit with Hayes. Steffy shut down that idea and mentioned how Sheila had already had a visit without her approval.
Steffy acted like Sheila’s obsession was scaring her, especially considering Sheila’s history. However, Sheila declared she wasn’t that person anymore. She begged for a chance to prove it and urged Steffy not to keep her away from her son.
Steffy fired back about seeing Sheila for who she really was and called her fake. She didn’t believe change was possible and felt like Sheila was just going to drive Finn further away with her actions. Sheila ranted about only asking for one more moment with Hayes and started to head for the nursery, but Steffy stopped her.
“Do not do this,” Steffy snapped. “You take one more step and I promise you, you’re going to regret it.”
