The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Tuesday, October 26 Recap – Sheila Matchmaker for Finn & Hope – Deacon Says Daughter Won’t Cheat

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 26, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) hinted at playing matchmaker for John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), but Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) warned cheating wouldn’t happen.

At the Forrester mansion on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) reassured Eric Forrester (John McCook) there was no need to be sad. Their lovemaking attempt didn’t pan out, but Quinn was excited that Eric even wanted to try again.

Later, Quinn admitted to Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) that she thought they were going to have a breakthrough, but nothing had changed. Eric still couldn’t make love to Quinn, but she wasn’t giving up.

Quinn suggested she’d jumped through so many hoops and felt they’d recommitted even more in the aftermath of her affair with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor).

Talk then turned to Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), who was always out to undermine Quinn’s marriage.

At Forrester Creations, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) assumed Eric had a big night with Quinn. She was glad to see Eric so happy and relayed this news to Brooke.

When Eric showed up, Brooke gathered that he didn’t have the greatest night with Quinn after all. She wasn’t entirely convinced there was anything wrong with Eric.

“What if it isn’t you? What if it’s Quinn?” Brooke asked. She thought maybe there was some sort of block there and didn’t think Eric really loved Quinn. Brooke suggested Donna could be the one to bring happiness, joy and passion back into Eric’s life.

Afterward, Eric told Donna that he didn’t mention their special moment to Quinn. He also admitted he didn’t have a breakthrough with Quinn back home – that it only happened with Donna

At the cliff house, Hope thanked Finn for inviting her over since she was dying to talk about what happened with their parents. Hope admitted she hadn’t told Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) about their run-in with Sheila and Deacon yet.

Finn confessed he hadn’t said anything to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) either. He thought this whole situation was bizarre and wondered if they should believe Deacon and Sheila, but Hope thought it seemed too random for those two to get together.

Finn knew they couldn’t take anything at face value, but he pointed out that Sheila and Deacon were already at Ill Giardino when they arrived. Finn at least wanted to believe Deacon and Sheila were being truthful about their romance.

Hope wanted to believe that too since she’d been making real headway with her dad. Finn and Hope also knew it was best to come clean about the interaction at the restaurant – though they seemed concerned about Steffy and Liam’s reactions.

In Sheila’s room, Deacon assumed the kiss she planted and fake romance were part of her master plan. Sheila said she improvised instead and refused to let the Forresters stand in the way of them bonding with their children. “And before you know it, Finn and Hope…they won’t allow it either,” Sheila said.

Sheila argued they were better together, but Deacon thought they were a “toxic waste dump” as a team. However, Sheila warned Deacon that he’d have a tough time getting past Liam, who was Hope’s gatekeeper.

Deacon circled back to the kiss and wondered what Sheila’s endgame was, so Sheila pushed him to see what she saw. She urged Deacon to imagine if Hope and Finn were involved – if they were together.

Sheila thought if Finn and Hope were a pair, they’d get to see and hold those grandbabies as much as they wanted to. Deacon said that was crazy and wasn’t looking to cause any more problems for Hope.

Sheila argued that Hope and Finn wouldn’t abandon them. She felt Finn and Hope would fight for them instead – and when they did, it would cause trouble in their marriages.

“My son and your daughter…they could end up looking at each other with a fresh set of eyes,” Sheila insisted. She added that Finn and Hope were beautiful together, but Deacon thought she was off her rocker!

Deacon pointed out that Finn had a newborn child at home. He insisted Hope wasn’t a homewrecker and wouldn’t cheat since she had morals.

Deacon didn’t think Hope would leave Liam and felt like Sheila was being selfish. Sheila knew it wouldn’t be easy and understood it wouldn’t happen overnight, but she warned Deacon that they had to stick together.
