The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, January 7, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will continue to battle guilt over what Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) going through. Adam blames himself for causing the chain reaction that led to Chelsea’s current health struggles.
If Adam hadn’t cut off the power at Chancellor Communications, then Chelsea wouldn’t have slipped in that elevator. Chelsea might’ve been able to avoid her ruptured aneurysm, stroke, paralysis, and the recovery battle she’s now facing.
However, Adam will need a way to cope with this crushing guilt he’s dealing with. The easiest strategy is to just pass that guilt on someone else, so that’s what Adam will do.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will pay Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) a visit to point the finger at him. Adam will hold Billy responsible since Billy set all this in motion with his exposé.
Of course, Billy will think Adam’s just playing the blame game as usual. Adam will launch a verbal attack on Billy, but Billy will give as good as he gets! There’ll be a heated confrontation between these old rivals, but Billy will think Adam needs to look in the mirror if he wants to hold someone at fault.
Meanwhile, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will have concerns about her relationship and how it’ll affect her role at Chancellor Communications. Lily’s falling hard for Billy, but it’s tricky since they also run the company together.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) feels like it’ll destroy Chance Comm’s credibility if Billy and Lily let their romance become a factor in the content they put out.
That idea may weigh on Lily’s mind a bit more in Thursday’s Y&R episode. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily will fret over balancing her personal life with her work life. It could lead to a deeper discussion with Billy about whether this arrangement is really going to work.
Over with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he’ll work to protect himself as well as what he holds dear. Kyle will work on some strategy, so this might be his way of backing Summer Newman (Hunter King) up in her feud with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
However, it could also be something that’s strictly related to Kyle’s work at Jabot. We know Billy will manage to wreck Kyle’s plans before the week’s over, so Kyle’s bold move on Thursday may set up Billy’s counterattack in Friday’s episode.
