The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, May 13, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be at a crossroads in a special standalone episode. Now that Adam has been cleared of all charges, he has a chance to improve his life or get into the same old trouble.
Although Adam has repeatedly insisted he wants to be a better man and move on, saying it and doing it are two very different things. As Adam continues to recover following his surgery, he’ll drift off to sleep and have a powerful dream.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam’s relationship with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be a major part of this dream, which will help Adam as he decides what kind of road he’ll head down.
Naturally, Victor will be there to nudge Adam toward a clean slate – and he’ll do it through a game of chess.
Adam has never been one to follow the rules, but Victor will make it clear that Adam indeed has to establish some new rules for himself. The goal will be for Adam to live in a way that makes him less of a pariah.
There’s a part of Adam that yearns for acceptance in some ways, so Y&R will tap into that through Adam’s dream conversation with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Nick’s faith in his brother will mean a lot to Adam on this journey. Victor will encourage Adam to accept that he’s the master of his own destiny. However, there’ll be other Young and the Restless characters who want to weigh on Adam’s chess moves.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will warn about how Adam could lose everything if he doesn’t shift his strategy. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may not have high hopes for a victory either – and it’s hard to imagine Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) having much nice to say at this point!
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will appear as the knight in this chess-themed episode while Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will be the white queen. Adam will get plenty of support from Victor, Sharon and even Nick as he fights to do the right thing and leave the old Adam in the past.
Of course, with Adam moving beyond his sinister side and heading into the light, that opens the door for another Newman to take a more devious turn.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is well on her way, but we’ll see some other mind games to suggest Victoria may become the new Adam – the problematic Newman who’s selfish and manipulative.
The Young and the Restless viewers will also see Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) pop up on Thursday’s Y&R episode. Chloe will do something daring, so it’ll be interesting to see if that’s part of the dream or in the show’s version of the real world.
Regardless, Adam will wake up with a new perspective and will look forward to the bright future ahead. As other Y&R news and updates roll in, we’ll bring you the latest shockers.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some gripping scenes are coming up, so Adam will learn some lessons and entertain fans in the process. CDL will have lots of other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so stop by regularly.
