The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, May 12 Recap – Rey Mentions Sharon Cheating – Adam Guilty Over Chelsea Suffering

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 12, reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will vow to keep his word and help Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) escape if that’s what he wants.

However, Nick will argue that if Adam is truly innocent, he should stick around and let this play out so he gets cleared. Nick will wonder if Adam’s going to keep his own word about being a better man.

Adam will point out that Nick’s asking him to put his life in the hands of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), who hates him. Adam will add that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) has every reason to think he’s guilty.

However, Nick will feel like Rey and Michael only want the truth. He’ll feel like if Adam is cleared, he can really build this new life he wants. Adam will wonder why Nick should care.

Nick will admit that in Kansas, Adam wasn’t pretending to be something he wasn’t – Adam was just Adam. Nick will note that Adam was scared and searching for penance.

For the first time, Nick saw actual regret and felt Adam truly wanted to be a better person. He pointed out that Adam came back for a brother who doesn’t like him.

Nick will add that Adam risked his freedom for Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), so he’ll never forget that. Although it doesn’t erase the past, Nick will feel like it does begin to heal some old wounds.

He’ll suggest that if he’s willing to give Adam a chance, then others might do the same. “So here I am – willing to give you a chance,” Nick will say.

Adam won’t want to gamble his entire future on the possibility that he might be vindicated, but he’ll agree to give the idea some thought. Before Nick exits, Adam will thank him and get a reminder what whatever he does next could change everything.

At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be impressed by Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) performance. Chelsea will admit it was easy to tap into those emotions, but she won’t want Victor thinking they’re a team when she had no choice.

Dr. Hedges (Michael Bofshever) will point out that he participated in this scheme at a great personal risk, but Victor will reassure him about being appropriately compensated.

Chelsea will fret over what Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will think of her now, but Victor will think her son will understand. Chelsea will rant over Victor getting exactly what he wanted since Adam is going by unscathed as usual.

Victor will argue that Chelsea can start a whole new life for herself once Dr. Hedges eventually declares her sane. Chelsea will want reassurance that Victor will help with that, so Victor will promise to come through to her.

After Chelsea’s taken away by ambulance, Rey will show back up to the ranch. He’ll note that Chelsea fooled everyone, including her doctors. Victor will argue that the weight of Chelsea’s crime was too much to bear for her.

Rey will suggest that it all came crashing down so conveniently there at the ranch, where a doctor could witness Chelsea’s breakdown and administer a sedative.

Victor will argue that if Rey had listened to him as well as Sharon, they would’ve all been spared this pain. “You have a nice day,” Victor will say – clearly wanting to end this conversation and send suspicious Rey out the door.

At the hospital, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will ask Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to join her in a prayer. Nikki will pray that this will be a time of peace and healing for everyone. She’ll even pray that Sharon and Rey will find the happiness they deserve.

Sharon will hope they can use what they’ve all been through over the past few months to become better people.

After Nick stonewalls Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) once again on how he got Adam to come back, Phyllis will head to The Grand Phoenix.

Summer Newman (Hunter King) will find Phyllis and point out that it’s a little hard to hate Adam as much as usual after what he did for Faith.

“But does it? Does it really?” Phyllis will wonder. She’ll be less concerned about that and more concerned about the mystery of how Nick got Adam to make this sacrifice. Phyllis will feel like whatever Nick said to Adam had to have been “epic.

Victor will join Nikki for a sweet moment by Faith’s bedside before heading to Adam’s room. After Victor offers gratitude on behalf of the family, Adam will suggest that maybe it’s time to surprise everyone and turn himself in.

When Victor says Adam doesn’t have to do that, Adam will ponder whether it’d be better to run.

Victor will argue that Adam doesn’t have to decide “a damn thing.” He’ll explain that Adam no longer has to escape being arrested since Chelsea confessed to everything.

Victor will act like the breakdown was real – and Adam will point out that he never would’ve wished all this on Chelsea. He’ll realize that his relationship with Sharon drove her to this extreme.

Victor will note that Chelsea claims there was an affair, but Adam will deny that – though he’ll admit he does have a deep connection with Sharon. Victor will explain that Chelsea was in no shape to be arrested, so the psychiatrist sent her to a psychiatric hospital.

As for Rey, he’ll give Nick and Sharon updates on Chelsea unraveling before his eyes at the ranch. Rey will fill them in on Chelsea’s admission of guilt and add that Adam was innocent all along.

Nick will admit he never though Chelsea would be capable of something like that. However, Rey will insist that Sharon and Victor were right about Adam.

After Rey apologizes for not believing Sharon, she’ll understand why he didn’t. Sharon will be relieved that Adam doesn’t have to face charges for a crime he didn’t commit.

What Sharon will really want to know above all else is there this leaves their relationship. She’ll want to tear down the wall between them and find their way back to each other, but Rey won’t be ready for that conversation.

Rey will confess to hearing more to Chelsea’s story today – and if it’s true, he won’t see any future with Sharon. Once Rey mentions Chelsea’s accusation about them sleeping in Adam’s bedroom, Sharon will swear that’s not true.

Sharon will suggest that Chelsea’s mind may have been playing tricks on her in that state, but Rey will demand the truth about whether something more happened between Sharon and Adam.

The fact that Rey even has to ask will break Sharon’s heart and make her fear it’s really over between them.

Back with Adam, he’ll feel betrayed and hurt – but he’ll also feel responsible. Victor will assure Adam that Chelsea is getting help and that this is the beginning of a new story. He’ll think that goes for Adam as well now that he’s free.

After Adam notes that Victor came to his rescue again, Victor will insist that he always will.

Next on Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon will interrupt and thank Victor for having such a great surgeon flown in. Sharon will bring up the shocking news about Chelsea and will be glad over how Victor handled it.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will request to speak with Sharon in private, so Victor will make himself scarce. After Sharon asks how Adam is doing, he’ll admit he’s OK physically – though it’ll take a minute to process everything that happened with Chelsea and the realization that he’s free.

Sharon will smile as she wonders what Adam will do next. Adam will want to break the news about Chelsea to Connor in a gentle way. Sharon will feel confident that Adam can get the restraining order lifted under the circumstances.

Adam will reflect on the plans he made with Chelsea; now they’re just a memory of what might’ve been.

Adam will be sorry about Chelsea’s affair claims making things harder.

When talk turns to whether Adam was going to run or stay and fight before Chelsea’s confession, Sharon will think she knows which way Adam was leaning. Adam will think Sharon’s right before pushing her to go take care of her daughter.

At the ranch again on Wednesday’s Young and the Restless episode, Victor will look forward to getting his plans to work with Adam back on track following his recovery.

Nikki will think Victor’s awfully pleased with himself and will get suspicious, but Victor will chuckle over how he always takes care of things.

At Society, Y&R spoilers say Rey will drink alone – while Adam’s back in his hospital room gazing at Chelsea’s picture on his phone.

As for Chelsea, she’ll be in drab scrubs at her new psychiatric facility. Chelsea will be in bed when she opens her eyes in a creepy moment.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will indeed have a shot at a fresh start, so don’t miss what’s ahead. CDL’s your hotspot for all the sizzling Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news you need, so pop back in soon.
