Big Sky Recap 11/16/22: Season 3 Episode 8 “Duck Hunting”

Tonight on ABC their new thriller by David E. Kelley, Big Sky airs with an all-new Wednesday, November 16, 2022 episode 8 and we have your Big Sky recap below. In tonight’s Big Sky season 3 episode 8 ‘Duck Hunting,’ as per the ABC synopsis, “The investigation for the killer continues as Jenny and Beau confine the campers to the campsite in an effort to unravel their lies.

Meanwhile, Cassie and Cormac’s romance heats up, leading Cormac to confess his parents might not be as innocent as they want others to believe.”

Tonight’s Big Sky episode begins with Paige, Luke is there and Walter walks up and says he saved Paige and wants the journal. Luke sees he is in trouble and makes a run for it. Elsewhere, Mary’s body was found. Jenny is speaking with Sunny and asks about Paige, she says she went home. And, there was a little something going on between Mary and Luke after that. Emily is also there and she says Luke was afraid of something. The rangers are setting up a roadblock. All of a sudden, Jenny sees Donno and Tonya, she can’t believe they are there and now knows something is up.

Sunny is furious that Mary’s body was brought back to camp by Buck, but he says he was doing it to protect them. She tells him they are in a lot of trouble. He says they will pin it on Luke, it makes sense.

Sunny and Buck put on a good front in front of everyone else at the camp. Avery says Luke told him that he and Paige had 15 million in crypto, he thought it was a joke, but now he is not so sure.

Beau and Jenny are searching one of the tents and Jenny finds Paige’s cell phone. Jenny says it is strange that Luke would leave this phone behind.

Cassie is a bar with Cormac, he asks her if she ever found out who his dad sold the truck to, the one that burned. She says she doesn’t know, but she doesn’t think he is being honest. When she asks him a question, he says he thinks he should go back to camp.

Jenny, Popernak, and crew with dogs are doing a search when Beau calls her, there is a body found near the chimney rocks, it is Luke.

The next day, Jenny is looking for Cormac who was supposed to go back to camp after he left the bar with Cassie, but never showed up.

Cormac is going through some boxes at home when he finds a box with a photo and some moments belonging to baby Johnston. Cassie knocks on the door,

Jenny asks Donno why he and Tanya are there, he says vacation. Beau questions Tonya, he asks her why she pretended to be married to Donno, and she says for the freebies.

Jenny, Popernak and crew with dogs are doing a search when Beau calls her, there is a body found near the chimney rocks, it is Luke.

Cassie tells Cormac about the murders, he tells her that he was looking for the bill of sale for his dad’s truck, he only found the title, so they didn’t sell it and he doesn’t know why they would lie to him.

Popernak did some investigating of Carla and Avery, and he found some stuff. Jenny interviews Carla, Beau interviews Avery. Avery says he didn’t see Luke at all the night before. And, he doesn’t know why Luke share his secret with him. Then, Beau asks about his company who the FCC is investigating for fraud. And, 15 million could be pretty tempting to someone who is in a financial bind. Avery says he wants a lawyer.

Cormac goes in to his parents, he says he had a look in the attic, the old truck his dad said he sold, he found the title for it. Then, he shows them a photo of a woman and a baby, and says that is why he is fired up. Sunny looks at the photo and laughs, and says it is nothing. Cormac tells them to stop lying to him. Cormac leaves. Beau wants to tell Cormac everything, he says it is probably Walter who killed everyone.

Sunny goes to see Tonya and Donna and tells them that nothing has gone right since they arrived there. Sunny threatens them that she has her eye on them.

Cassie shows Beau a composite sketch, it’s of Walter, and she asks if he knows him, Beau says yes, but has no idea who he is.

Carla is upset with Avery that he didn’t tell her that the FCC was investigating him. He says he made a mistake, he should have told her. She tells him that she needs a little space, time to think.

A ranger tells town guys they can’t pass a certain area, the road is close and one of them shoots him and throws his body in the back of the truck.

Cormac gives Jenny some information on where Walter could be.

Walter hears people coming his way. They approach a cabin, and Jenny says Paige could be in there. Paige actually escapes though a trap door in the floor and Walter is ready to face the music. Walter sees Cassie and says nice to see her again. They cuff him and the him away.
