Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, July 8, teases that Clyde Weston (James Read) will make a promise to Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) – and Baby Bo Weston will have his christening. Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will also have a breakthrough, but that doesn’t mean their relationship problems will magically be fixed.
For starters, Ben will interrogate Clyde about all the stolen jewelry drama and his recent arrest.
However, Clyde will promise he didn’t kill Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller), so Ben should believe his dad once he swears that he’s innocent.
It looks like Clyde will push Ben to just sail off on his new adventure and not worry about his father’s predicament.
Ben will get ready for his journey with Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), but they’ll have a couple important tasks to accomplish first.
Ciara and Ben mentioned wanting to have little Bo’s christening before they left town, so Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will be on hand for that as the baby’s godparents.
Ciara will also bid Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) farewell and share one last hug with Shawn before it’s time to depart.
DOOL fans will see Ben and Ciara sail off with their son together, so they’ll be prepared to explore the world as a family.
Although Ciara and Ben will exit the main show, be sure to check out the Beyond Salem series on Peacock during the week of July 11-15.
That’ll bring Ben and Ciara’s first stop in Montreal, where they’ll drop anchor and let Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) meet her grandson.
Back on regular Days, Friday’s episode will bring a bit of a breakthrough for Shawn and Belle. Now that Jan is missing, that’ll naturally eliminate some conflict.
Belle looked pretty comfortable holding the baby, so she might envision raising this child with Shawn herself and like the sound of that.
Of course, Shawn doesn’t realize Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) is the real father, so that shocker will strike down the road.
In the meantime, Belle and Shawn will have a heartfelt discussion that brings them closer.
Even so, things will remain complicated, especially since Belle hit the sheets with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).
Marlena will hope Belle and Shawn can find a way forward, so she’ll give EJ a nudge to back off and let this reunion happen.
Since Marlena won’t want to see Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) blow her top either, she’ll think it’s best for everyone if EJ keeps his distance.
Other Days spoilers say Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) will take another trip to Statesville and push Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) for the whole truth.
Since Leo will worry Gwen is lying about the night of Abigail’s murder, she may have to offer another version of events to appease him.
Did Gwen actually plan to kill Abigail before realizing someone else beat her to it? Could Gwen have broken out of prison to do something else instead?
Whatever the case, Leo’s suspicions will be on the rise, so he’ll push Gwen to get honest about what went down.
Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will remain on edge as well, but there has to be another explanation for why Abigail ended up dead.
